I have an old Goody brush from back in the 80's and 90's. As the brush aged the red rubber got weak making the brush easy on the scalp, my perfectly aged brush is great for men who have less hair then back in the day. Long story short, I decided to buy a new brush since mine was splitting apart, not bad for a 15 to 20 year old brush.. I received the new brush, and it literally felt like I fork scrapping along my scalp. Needless to say, I tried swapping out all the white bristle strips from my old brush to the new brush (one less pin per strip). While it did make a slight difference, the fact is it's the red rubber that with age made the bristle strips flexible from the rubber getting old making it easy on my scalp. Now my old brush is so brittle, its unusable. Bottom line, there is no for BOTH man or woman when it comes to hair brushes! Items like this really need to bought in a store so you can actually see and feel it and make a better decision. Other then that, it is a nice brush dispite the one less pin on each strip and still being unflexable.

Perfect denman brush dupe. Not a detangling brush but it’s great for defining my hair. I recommend watching a YouTube video or two if you’ve never used it. I’ve just recently started styling my curly hair and I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Love it!

I bought this product because I wanted to be cheap. I have bought Denman brushes in the past and just wanted to give this one a try because brand isn't always everything right... I thought hey what could go wrong. Firstly this brush has a ridge on the perimeter of the brush which hurt when spending more than 5 minutes detangling your hair. I have long curly frizzy hair that tends to be very tangled. After 10 minutes of trying to detangle one side of my head my hand was raw! Blisters everywhere. It also pulled out soooooo much of my hair! Like a cups worth (it's weird but that's about the amount I imagine). It was also not easy to clean surprisinhly. I do like the little brushes and that's why this is getting a one star review Either way save yourself the money and the pain and get the original or just not this one. Edit: I now only use this brush for styling and it does a decent job. Still any little tangles and it feels like I'm getting my hair pulled out but if my hair is perfectly detangled (which only happens for a whole 5 seconds) it does a decent job of clumping my curls. I usually follow the hair routine by manes by mell on YouTube and it gives good results. I still think it's not comfortable to hold or easy to clean.

I was looking for a white travel brush for my wet hair, just to brush back and pin up without blow drying. I hoped this would simply brush back my thinner hair, but no go. I had to wrestle with reassembling it back into itself. There is no clip, lip or position to keep the bristles in place if you brush down with brush in vertical position, it slides right off and pops apart. After putting it back together, takes a couple tries, I could use it if kept in a strictly horizontal (brushing with elbow up higher than my wrist) to brush my hair without an issue. Tricky to use having such limitation on brushing in just one angle. Sadly it’s what I should expect for such a cheaply priced brush. I did find a swissco pro detangling brush (in white!!) for 5.99 at discount store. Amazon sells them here and they are light weight like this and brush great, but it’s not at that price. I’ll post a photo later of how the brush separates. Happy brush hunting!!
