  • Great mirror but the blue is too dark for me.
Color: Anti-glare Blue Glass Lens
I commute to work in New York City via bike so I needed two rear view mirrors (one for each side) because obstacles are coming at you from every direction in NY. Since I have a bike with drop bars and other things mounted to the tops of my handlebars, this product fit the bill nicely. Note that this item comes with one mirror in a pack so if you want two mirrors, you need to buy two of them. I ordered both the anti-glare blue mirror and the standard automotive glass option. What jumped out at me is that the blue is quite a bit darker than the clear mirror. This was backed up by a few comments I saw on Reddit and elsewhere. I'm sure I could have gotten used to it and it wouldn't have been a problem, but my take is that I already wear glasses while I ride (Tifosi photochromic lenses) so those will do most of the heavy lifting reducing glare in just about every light condition, and will also make it so that any tint to the mirror itself is too much. So, I returned the anti-glare blue and kept the standard clear mirror. Installation was really easy (maybe 2 minutes for each mirror if you're really taking your time) and the mirror is snug in the handlebars for my GT Grade Comp gravel bike. Perhaps I wish the image in the rear-view could be a bit bigger but a) that kind of comes with the territory of drop-bar mounted mirrors... they're far away from your eyes, and b) if the mirror was not convex I'd trade magnification for reduced field of view which I don't think I'd be any happier with. All in all I'm satisfied with the clarity and utility of the mirror. NOTE: as other reviewers have mentioned, having rear view mirrors on your bike should NOT excuse you from practicing proper situational awareness. Especially in NYC where your head needs to be on a swivel 100% of the time between your door and your destination. These mirrors are most helpful for spotting those zippy e-scooter guys who are trying to pass me in narrow spaces. I can also check for cars that are tailgating me. But if I'm about to change lanes or make a turn, I still physically turn my head to check my blind spot, exactly as one should do when driving a car. ... show more

  • my favorite after using 3 others
Color: Automotive Grade Glass Lens
likes: small and lightweight, good convex shape lets you see more of the road behind you even at a distance, good clear mirror, easy to install and adjust. This is my favorite mirror for road riding after trying 3 others. Cons: hmm, can't really think of any. maybe that the lens takes a bit of work to clean but that applies to all mirrors I've tried. I found that applying a little water repellant spray, the kind you use on car windows helps keep it clean longer. ... show more

  • Best money you can spend on a road bike!
Color: Automotive Grade Glass Lens
I would have paid double! This mirror is a game changer. With wind in your ears, it’s difficult to hear lots of traffic, especially electric vehicles. This is sturdy, and installs in seconds. It’s adjustable on the fly, and doesn’t vibrate to the point of obscuring visibility. A quick glance lets you know if traffic is close. Seems silly now to ride without one. ... show more

  • Probably the best bar end mirror for drop bars with minor flaws.
Color: Automotive Grade Glass Lens
This is the best bar end mirror I've tried for my road bike so far. I ordered it with the standard, non tinted glass. It installed easily on my endurance style road bike and was easy to adjust. It's large enough to be useful without adding too much wind resistance. With my hands positioned on the hoods which is where I do most of my riding, I can just see the side of my left knee and calf and about 50 feet behind me. Because of the convex shape, it's harder to see cars more than 4 or so lengths behind you, but you're able to tell if there is a car close enough to be dangerous or coming too fast. It works best for in town or city riding to make sure cars are giving you room as they pass or sitting in your blind spot, but you'll still want to do a head check before entering the road. It's too small to see cyclists behind unless they're right on your tail. The quality of the mirror is high. It's made from actual glass and sturdy polymer. It won't scratch easily like cheap plastic or polished metal mirrors. I didn't have any trouble getting it adjusted properly. I just mounted it at a slight angle instead of straight inline with the bars. The adjustment screw is not strong enough to prevent the mirror from moving if you over rotate your handlebars and hit the mirror on your top tube. I have a feeling this is by design though, incase you drop your bike or somehow hit the mirror it will just move instead of breaking off. It would be nice if it had some method of popping back into place so you didn't need to re-adjust every time you bump it though. The piece of plastic between the mount and mirror seems a little small and flimsy, so I expect a full weight drop of the bike or higher speed impact would snap it right off. Being glass, the mirror would also likely shatter. I suppose I'd rather break a relatively inexpensive mirror than my handlebars or frame though. Overall this is the most useful drop bar mirror I've used so far and a good idea if you don't like helmet or glasses mounted mirrors. ... show more

  • Easy to see and makes road rides much safer
Color: Automotive Grade Glass Lens
These mirrors are easy to mount and very easy to position during the ride. They make spotting traffic approaching from behind very easy and it really cuts down on how much you have to turn your whole body to try and check behind you. We got one of each style and I think I prefer the blue glass over the clear. My wife and I feel much safer on the road now. I tried the style of mirror you mount to glasses, and that was just too hard to get used to, these drop bar mirrors are the way to go. ... show more

  • Excellent mirror, highly recommend
Color: Anti-glare Blue Glass Lens
I’ve had this for a while and it is a great improvement over my previous bar end mirror. Note the glare in the comparison picture. Definitely glad I went with the blue tint. Lots of adjustment options and it stays put for the entire ride. I could give a rat’s @ss if it looks dorky if it keeps me from getting clobbered. Again. ... show more

  • Great visibility!
Color: Automotive Grade Glass Lens
I wasn't sure if I wanted a mirror to attach to my glasses or one on my drop bars. I went with the drop bars and was happy I did. The mirror provides a stable rear view and has a larger viewing area. Aero dynamite and works great!
