This idea and set up must have come from one of Paul Bunyan's descendants ... I love using this splitting tool! I have been splitting wood for over 40 years of my life, no not everyday, mostly fall and winter months and it is soo nice, not to mention EXTREMELY safer for making kindling wood for starting your fire, inside fireplace, wood burning stove or an outside fire pit! Save your favorite hatchet for throwing at a target, grab a small sledge hammer and start swinging..... I will be getting it's larger brother for larger splits!!

Went with the XL and happy I did. The amount of times it has paid off to have the bit bigger splitter. I leave it outside and exposed to the elements and there are a few rust spots forming but it seems to be holding up quite well for what it is designed to deal with. I bolted mine to a pallet and has held up to smacking it with a hammer and sledge hammer.

Thought this purchase was a no-brainer but they sent me a dud. The support metal ring is only 11” instead of 11.4”, which it needs to be so drilled holes match up. Tried contacting vendors email a few times the past couple of weeks- which “GS-service Team” says to do if there’s a problem- but nothing! Crickets! So I imagine I’ll be returning unless they come up with a plan to send me the right part that goes with XL V shape firewood killing splitter stand.
