With a no-load speed of 20,000 rpm, this durable tool is designed to cut through a variety of materials like metal, tile, stone, plastic, and drywall/fiber cement. You won't waste time hunting for a hex wrench thanks to the onboard storage and spindle lock which enable quick wheel changes. With both forward and reverse capability, you can conveniently change the direction of the cut depending on the application. The included dust shroud with adjustable shoe and AirLock connection allows for convenient attachment to DEWALT extractors, while the integrated LED lets you work in dark spaces. This versatile tool is Lanyard Read Capable to protect against drops, and is Chip- Ready to allow tracking via the TOOL CONNECT System (chip and lanyard sold separately).

Nice saw I purchased it for cutting 1 inch foam insulation sheets for my pole barn . It was hard to find a blade for ply wood [which would have worked best for my application].found some blades on Amazon that are carbide so they tend to heat and burn the wood and tends to kick back more on the syrifoam board .I have to lay a straight edge down on bead board to get a straight cut. I think it's mostly the blade that's causing the kick back.the saw comes with three blades and it works great for conduit. ... show more

This little cutter is awesome 0 kickback. It shuts down before it will twist and snap the cutting disc. You just gotta let the tool do the work. One hand cuts are common and easy. Compared to a 4 inch grinder with no blade guard. It's balance is spot on even with a 6 ah battery. I doubt I'll ever use a 4 inch or 6 inch cut off wheel again. It blasted through a 1/4 steel plate with very little effort. Almost no vibration at the start and throughout the cut. Feels very safe. The DeWalt all metals disk it came with didn't do that great on 1/4 aluminum. It started plugging up the disk. Which is common w cutting aluminum. This thing would be perfect for using in the field. Cutting tops of posts.. whatever. Totally worth it. After using it once. I would pay double what I paid. It's that good.👍 ... show more
