    • Pretty good tarp but not quite 10mil thick

With calipers I folded it over and measure .013" - .015" therefore it is 6.5 - 7.5mil thick. They all seem to over rate themselves in this way. It states UV resistance but I am in the hot California sun so that factor is a must for me and only time will tell. Otherwise it seems to be well made.

The tarp is slightly on the smaller side, but it is very durable and sturdy. It says that it is waterproof and it definitely feels that way. I have used some tarps in the past that claims they are waterproof but ended up finding out that they eventually give out. I don't feel like that's the case for this since it feels very thick, especially for the price. ... show more

It seems like there’s a hundred reasons to keep a tarp around our homes. During the past year I’ve purchased several to cover the floor while painting, cover outdoor furniture, and a bad water leak that required items in the area to be covered. The most common purchase each year has been to cover the pool slide. The weather seems to destroy them each year due to chlorine water or excessive hot or cold weather. So, I decided to to test it as much as I could without the benefit of a long time period. The size was perfect for the slide. The first thing I noticed was the heavy reflective material that is so important for being outdoors. One of the important aspects of a tarp is the grommets. If you can’t get the bunge cords secured, it doesn’t matter how good the tarp is because you’ll loose it from high winds. These seemed to be well-made and should hold well in place. . This heavy duty tarp worked wonderfully as a mat for prepping my garden. It is durable and thick, with reinforced corners and grommets. The huge size was a bonus, giving me plenty of space to set up potting. It kept all the soil and dirt contained without making a mess on my patio, and once everything was done, I was able to funnel the loose soil left on the tarp back into the pot for zero waste.
