We recently bought this hover board for my son. He really likes it. He wishes it would go faster, but I think the speed is great considering it is a hover board. It does not come fully charged and will be slow if you try to use it straight out of the box. He has been able to go around our circle which is 1.25 miles and with lots of hills. It is somewhat all-terrain as long as the ground is fairly hard-packed and the grass is cut really short. My son has a very generic mp3 player and he is able to connect to the hover-board.   • Brand new hoverboard and battery won't hold a charge

Update: I ended up emailing the warranty and the company was quick to respond. They tried to send me a new battery as quickly as they could, but it still took a few weeks to get to me. The company was also helpful in responding to emails and sending me instructions on how to change the battery (which was more complicated than I expected). With a new battery installed correctly, my son could finally use the hoverboard and he likes it and it works well. I'm updating my star review to 3 stars. The company and the hoverboard seem good, but my experience with a dead battery was not fun. I received this hoverboard in the mail yesterday for my son's birthday and the battery won't hold a charge. Very disappointing for my son. We charged it overnight with no luck.   • Seller Not Taking Responsibility for Sending Bad Product

We purchased two hover boards at the same time from Gyroor. One looks and works perfectly fine, but the other one had issue right out of the box. When we contacted over the phone, they gave us an email address and asked us to send pictures. I took a picture of the first issue, but explained out it is not possible to take a picture of the second issue. I emailed them the picture and an explanation, and they emailed me back asking for pictures again. So far they have not taken responsibility for sending us a malfunctioning hover board. The first issue was that where the two sides meet in the middle, they are out of alignment. I sent a video of that. They asked us to adjust the cover. We tried that, but it would not budge. The other issue was the left tire would periodically spin at a different rate than the right tire, making the scooter turn inadvertently. It is not possible to send a picture of that. We contacted Gyroor, and they said we should adjust how the plastic pieces are attached to the scooter and to reset the scooter by turning off and back on again using the reset feature, and then to see if that fixed the problem. It is not possible to adjust the plastic covers because the screws are already in the holes made for them. There is no way to adjust what is out of alignment. To me, it looks like something is wrong with the underlying structure of the scooter. We did the reset feature a couple of times, and when my daughter tried the scooter out after that the tire locked up and the scooter threw my daughter to the ground. I emailed them back saying I am not willing to risk my daughter’s safety trying how this malfunctioning scooter. It has been several days, and I have not heard back. They replied to the first email the day after I sent it. The other thing they said in the email that we could do was to replace the motor. I just don’t think it is good service to tell a customer they have to fix something themselves when they purchased the item as a brand new product. Something is wrong with this scooter, and it was this way right out of the box. Apparently Gyroor does not think they should take responsibility for sending out a malfunctioning product. When I call them, I get the message, “Sorry, our customer service staff is busy. Please call again later”. When I call later, it says the same thing, and I never get the option of leaving a voicemail. I also tried to exchange the scooter for a working one through Amazon, and when I requested it, they only gave me the option to return the item. They said that they would possibly deduct the cost of whatever was wrong with the scooter, up to the entire cost. So now, I am afraid if I sent it back, that I might not get a refund, and it was not our fault that the scooter is not working correctly. This does not sound like an honest setup Amazon has arranged with Gyroor. ... show more
