I wanted to give the lights a 5 star rating but GVM decided to update their APP and make it completely useless. so forget about using the cool light features like police lights or flash lighting. you need the APP to activate those. the new update makes it so that you need to create an account to be able to use the APP. which is such a pain in the ____ and after going through that laborious task it does not work. the app freezes and quits and you have to fill in your login details over and over and it never works. On the day I received them I was able to use the app, before the update. sadly you could only manipulate one of the lights at a time. you need another phone to work the other light, which is also just ridiculous. The lights themselves are great and you can access the color modes and brightness from the controls on the back panel but none of the special lighting modes. Which was a big sell for me. Light quality is great and they hold up with batteries very well.

100% INCREDIBLE. I'm a full time photographer who also specializes in flash photography. Not only do I have a wonderful flash but these change the game for any type of video and even add a little bit of versatility to the photos! Highly recommend

Well for starter it came without the bags for for tripods and silicone bag was split open and the silicone was all inside of the case a mess. The BT app would not connect and it didn’t come with instructions on how operate them. The items were rebagged they will going be back.

Pros: lights is good, heavy duty, nice case. Cons: the app to control it is useless and frustrating. Without hte app you lose functionality of some parts of the light. App was impossible to connect to the lights. When it did connet the controls sucked and the only way to connect to the other light was to disconnect to the first then attempt to connect to the second. Atrocious app. If you still end up getting these then here is at tip: Other reviews say you can't use the soft box without taking off the flaps and can't rotate it is false, just takes a bit of thinking and ingenuity. To rotate it a bit more with the softbox on flip the light upside down on the hinges, you will get an extra inch or two of rotation than if you leave the light in the original positions. While not ideal gives you more rotation. You can use the softbox with the flaps still on, just use a binder clip to clip to the barn doors instead of the straps, worked like a charm. You will need the large binder clips not medium or small ones.

My ONLY complaint is that it is inconvenient to install the softboxes. You have to remove the barn doors first which requires removing 4 allen head screws. There is no wrench included nor is there any way to keep them from scattering to the four winds once the barn doors are removed. This would be a 5 star review if it was possible to install the softbox without removing the barn doors.
