    • Solid safe
A nice hefty safe that is sleek and the lid is quick. These safes really aren’t here to stop someone from stealing the safe overall because these aren’t bolted into cement, but it is meant to stop teens and children from gaining easy access and this does a solid job of that. It’s well built and powered by 4 AA batteries. My only complaints are how quick the buttons are to interact, or if you mess up, a little slow to reset to punch in the code again. Also, not a fan of the key because your teen might be smart enough to find a copy of the key on the streets, so it would be nice to be able to swap out that lock for something a bit more complex, however, for the price I’m not gonna be disappointed or mad about this. One final complaint would be if they could raise the price high enough to include a way to read the battery life so that I can know when it needs to be replaced. Nothing more terrifying in my mind than needing to punch in the code and I get nothing but panic because I surprisingly need the key. Probably the best safe for a gun you can get at this price of less than $30. I was able to fit a S&W Model 915 into this and I can tell that if I wanted to I could store 2 mags in it, too. I think possibly two guns and a mag each or two mags each of I could figure out a way to stack things within it. Comes with screws so you could attach the safe to something solid so it can’t just be easily walked away with. Glad I bought it. ... show more

My old identical model electronics failed, as did the shock that open the lid, so I can only use the key to open. Finally decided I wanted it to function as it should mounted inside my beside table. Works fine. Despite the issues with the original I decided to keep the same model and it mounts in the same footprint. ... show more

    • Unbelievable for the price
Solid small safe for an amazing price. I thought it was a mistake but was very surprised with the quality. I have a similar one by the same brand that cost significantly more because it Hass the fingerprint reader. That feature is buggy and not reliable. This one is much simpler with a key or keypad combination. That works very well and is very consistent. I would not pay the extra for the fingerprint feature and would recommend this simer design instead. Everything else about it is identical for a fraction of the price. ... show more

Works as should. ISSUES: 1. Must use name brand battries or will not work 2. Batt life not great... not rechargeable. 3. Strut wears out after a couple of years... must replace
