Features

  • Steam Deck OLED Joystick Upgrades: These repair replacements are designed to fit the Steam Deck OLED with the exact same dimensions as the original joysticks. Featuring hall effect technology, they provide enhanced anti-drift capabilities, smoother operation, touch-sensing functionality, and a significantly extended lifespan. (Not for Steam Deck LCD)
  • No-Soldering Required: Our analog joystick replacement eliminates the need for soldering, because it maintains the same size and interface as the original parts, and come with installation caps to keep the Steam Deck OLED original touch functionality. Just align and tighten the screws to fix itno special tools or soldering skills needed.
  • One-Button Calibration: a. Move the joystick to the symmetrical position of the central point b. Press the tiny calibration button on the board ( we have marked it on our picture) c. Release the joystick d. Calibration is successfully completed when you see the joystick return to the center position.
  • Reduce the Dead Zone: Minimize controller dead zones for enhanced precision by adjusting settings, potentially reaching a zero dead zone. This customization allows for more responsive input, significantly reducing the factory default's larger dead zones, which can lead to stick drift and imprecise movements.
  • Warm Tips: It's needed to recalibrate before securing the back cover. It is normal that the joystick may not return to center each time under no dead zone mode. In case of stuck joystick issue, the stick cap that comes pre-installed becomes loose during shipping, just press the cap vertically down to fix it. If you need help, don't hesitate to contact us and we'll reply within 24 hours.

  • Amazing when dialed in!!!! Amazing when dialed in!!!!
Works amazing.........if you take the time to calibrate them with the internet little button on the back of the board. I also dropped my deck from five feet up directly on the right stick. Thinking that I probably cracked my screen, cracked the circuit board, you destroyed my deck! I was shocked to find out that the stick absorbed the entire impact. Even though the click mechanism was gone, the deck was still brand new. Would highly recommend if you don't mind the calibration process. ... show more

  • Large upgrade over stock sticks
Noticeable improvement over the stock sticks. I replaced both since the original OLED right stick developed serious stick drift. The installation was simple following the ifixit guide video. I already had a T6 bit and spudger on-hand. I also ran into the Steam button not working after install problem but after making sure the TS cable was secured into the port the issue went away. This was a bit tricky as the connector is very tiny and it took a few tries to ensure it was snug. Using the calibration button on the back of the joystick module along with the calibration in game mode worked well. To further dial these in I went into desktop mode, opened console, and typed thumbstick_cal and followed the prompts and then went back into game mode and that allowed me to further lower the deadzones to almost zero. Very pleased with these and would recommend. ... show more

  • Easy repair and perfect replacement
Perfect fit for OLED Steam Deck. This replaced a broken switch. Instructions were easy. My son swapped them out, his first repair of an electronic device, calibrated as instructed, had it done in no time. They work perfectly. Make sure you get the right ones for your model. Highly recommended.

  • OLED only models
These are for the OLED model. If you weren't paying attention and have an LCD model you'll have to return these. Simple as, and probably explains the high return rate. I use my Steam Deck a lot, especially while traveling for work. The factory joysticks were getting a bit worn. I wasn't quite sure if they were exhibiting drift, or otherwise but they simply weren't behaving like they should. Like they'd get stuck on the outer edges and not return to center quick like you'd expect. I popped these joysticks in and the thing is smooth as butter again. If you're looking for an earth shattering performance change this is not the product for you. If you're looking to replace the resistive joysticks on a device you've already spent hundreds of hours gaming on and want a level of future proofing this is your go to. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Not perfect but pretty close.
These are great. Easy install. One issue is the calibration is an absolute pain. The explanation is subpar, and the button is extremely hard to press, especially while looking and adjusting the stick. On a positive note the sticks feel great. Nice tension in my opinion. The sensors work great and they have a decent grip. ... show more

  • Two sets, both disable the steam button, OEM fixes it
This is my second set of GuliKit joysticks for the Steam Deck OLED. I just got my replacement kit in, installed them, just like the first set, they disable the steam button function and turn it into a cursor that only moves down on the screen. There is NO stick drift with the joysticks, as Amazon AI is stupidly trying to tag this review as, the joysticks work perfect. The only issue is they make the steam button inoperable, forcing me to reboot the deck when I want to close a game or go to the home screen. I have checked ALL connections on EVERY socket on EVERY board in more than triplicate, and everything is prim and propper. The issue is completely resolved when I reinstall my OEM joysticks, so the only possible culprit is the new GuliKit joysticks. I know from hundreds of review and youtube clips that these used to work amazing, so I don't know why both of the sets I received are doing this. Maybe a bad batch or QC decided they didn't want to do their job anymore? All I can say for certain is I'll be returning two sets on the same day ... show more

  • Installs well and feels great
These are a great replacement for a busted joystick on a handheld gaming system. I bought a IFixIt kit to help with installing the joysticks and it was extremely easy to do and much cheaper than the company had quoted (albeit a scary experience for a first timer). So far I haven’t had any issues with the joystick and can barely tell the difference between the original joystick and these. The biggest thing is to pay attention to a good step by step instruction manual. Plugging in all the necessary cords is definitely necessary. It’s been a few months and the sticks are still in good condition. Overall I’m happy with my purchase and find the joysticks to be quite good. Overall it’s a good value for the price. ... show more

  • Annoying clicking in one of the joysticks, otherwise fine
Only issue was the right joystick clicked CONSTANTLY whenever I moved it to the lower right area or back and forth horizontally. If you have this issue, pop open the steam deck and gently smooth the wire down. You don't need to manipulate it or apply a lot of pressure, just gently smooth it back a few times with your thumb until its tucked away from the front of the joystick and closer to the side. Test it again and see if you need to smooth the wire again before putting back together. Otherwise it's worked fine as a pair of new replacement joysticks with no soldering (huge plus imo and why I gave it 5 stars lol) ... show more
