Description

The 24V Premium White LED Light Bar is a complete lighting kit solution for the Creality Ender 3 and Ender 3 PRO 3D Printers. Designed to outlast traditional adhesive LED strips and cheap USB light tubes, this Premium White LED Light Bar features a rigid 3030 PCB that can operate 24/7 for years. The profile housing is machined from a high-grade aluminum alloy, anodized black to match the Ender 3 frame. It's not just for aesthetics though. It also doubles as a heatsink, drawing heat away from the electrical components to vastly extend the service life.A semi transparent cover helps to diffuse light, providing a soft, bright glow to illuminate the machine's build plate. Equipped with a dial based dimmer switch, you can control the brightness levels or turn it off when desired.Best of all, there is no soldering or crimping is required. Just mount the LED Light Bar on the top of the frame using the included hardware. Plug the yellow pass through connector in between the existing XT60 power cables and you're finished. Running on the 3D Printer's electrical system, it turns on and off with the machine.Technical SpecificationsColor: WhiteTemperature: 6000 - 6500KLuminosity: 800 LumensVoltage: 24VCurrent: 0.37APower consumption: 8.4 WattsLED Bar length: 260mm

  • Just what the doctor ordered
Style: Ender 3 / Ender 3 Pro (XT60)
I was planning on making a custom led mount using those rolls of led strips and 3d printing mounts for it and hand-wiring them to the power supply with some step down converters and then I came across this as I was searching for a replacement hotend. Of course this costs a bit more than my custom led mount, but not by much and it makes the job way easier. Super easy to install, super bright, and even has a dimmer. Unlike most of the reviews, I don't really have an issue with the cable length. Maybe they've lengthened it or maybe I got lucky, but it's really not as short as I was expecting it to be based off of the other reviews I've read. I mean sure it could be like 6 inches longer to give it a bit more slack and make it easier to find a spot for the on-off / dimmer switch, but it's not the end of the world. This thing is bright! In the first picture I've posted along with this review, it was 2am and (obviously) dark outside and I turned off all the lights in the room (and subsequently every other room in the house) and the only light in the picture is coming from the street lights right out the window and the glow of my Ender 3 Pro's blue LCD screen. In the second picture I have the Gulfcoast Robotics LED light turn all the way up. It essentially lights up the entire room and I can see every wall and make my way throughout the room easily. And of course the third picture is just a front view of the printer with the light all the way up and no other lights on to show a profile of how much it lights the printer up. I absolutely love this thing and it has easily become one of my favorite upgrades to my Ender 3 Pro so far. Now I don't have to use the room lighting (which is terribly warm lighting as well as a 60 watt bulb) or use my tiny lamp with a 13 watt CFL bulb taking up an extra wall plug. It's powered directly from the printer without needing to solder anything and plenty bright allowing me to keep an eye on the printer with my webcam via OctoPrint without wasting much electricity. A word of caution though, this thing gets very hot. I made the mistake of resting my hand on the top of the LED fixture after it had been on for at least 10 minutes or so and woo boy did that sting! I mean it makes sense what with 24V going through these extremely powerful LEDs. Overall, I am more than satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend it if you are thinking of adding a light fixture to your Ender 3 or Ender 3 Pro. Best $37 I've spent on my printer! ... show more

  • Easier than doing it yourself, runs hot.
Style: Ender 3 / Ender 3 Pro (XT60)
For the money I would say this is worth it. The light above the printer is invaluable. It does run hot, so if you leave this thing on full brightness you will yelp should you brush up against it... which isn't great for a machine with known heating issues which could lead to fire. It's also kind of funny that it includes a link to thingiverse file to print a dimmer switch case (screws and t-nuts not included) instead of just giving you those things. For this price they really should include the case, the screws and t-nuts for the switch, and a thingiverse code in case you want to change colors. After buying it I would almost consider picking up the auto leveler BEFORE the light for this kind of money, however my skill with leveling improved enough where I needed the light more. Little pricey but does its job well. ... show more

  • Bright Light but with compatibility issues
Style: Ender 3 / Ender 3 Pro (XT60)
Update: Gulfcoast fully backed their product and helped me get the right part for my printer, much appreciated. Update: I reached out to Gulfcoast Robotics support and they were very responsive. They had me check a few things but were unable to determine where the issue was for sure. The best guess was it looked like my Ender 3 Pro had +/- wiring backward from what they expected so the passthrough XT60 connector would have been sending -24v to the light instead of +24v. Unfortunately the best result was me returning through amazon, both units and re-ordering a spade connector model that I can connect directly to the power supply. I'd like to give this 5 stars if it just worked, but its been quite a hassle to get a working light. Installation was very quick on my Ender 3 Pro, no problem but the light didn't work. Returned and got a replacement, this also didn't work. I checked voltages at the plug and LED. The plug was getting 24 volts but the led was getting -24v, meaning the LED board was wired backward. I didn't want to return the second one when it was such an easy fix so re-soldered the LED board the right way, now it lights up and it is very bright. The dimmer switch however does nothing, its on always, can't dim or turn off the light, it only on full brightness when the printer is on. The brightness is good and I like the ease of installation, but how did 2 of these get past QA wired backward AND with a bad dimmer switch? ... show more

  • Improved from the previous model
Style: Ender 3 / Ender 3 Pro (XT60)
I ended up buying a second one because I got a cheap busted ender 3 pro that I had plenty of spare parts to fix. The first one I bought back in 2020 and the one I just bought now jas improvements. The new version you can disconnect the cable that powers it on at the light there is a barrel jack port which is great if I needed to for some reason make the cable loger I could adda barrel jack extender. Also comparing it with the original I have the power cable from barrel jack to xt60 connector is longer than the original. That was my biggest gripe with the original it just needed to be slightly longer and now it is. Highly recommend shines a light on the bed make it easy for me to see it through my cameras via octoprint. I may buy a 3rd one for my non ender printer but I'd need different t nuts and screws because of the size and the 3rd printer doesn't use xt60 connection but it has a detachable cable and uses a barrel jack port so I'm sure I could figure something out 😁 ... show more

  • Lights up my bed like a Christmas tree.
Style: Ender 3 V2 (Wall Adapter)
It was pretty easy to install, just screw the nut and bolt together, and slide in the rail on the top of the printer, then slide the light into that and tighten. Plug it in and done. This is NICE and bright. I have the housing they sell for this, and in the inside is reflective, so easily 3x the light from this too, not that it is needed, this thing can get BRIGHT. ... show more
