The microphone arm is okay and it does work decently well, I do wish it had swivel points at the joints like a 360* swivel point, not just up and down. And the microphone itself I have to tighten with a wrench almost to get the mic to stay because it keeps falling down and over.

This blue mom was just what I needed. I do speech to text as a freelance writer for about 65% of my work and I wanted to use a mic that I didn't have to hold or not on lapel mike. So I got a microphone and this works excellently pop screen is good really easy to maneuver in it holds in places it doesn't bounce up and down like some cheaper products. Very pleased ... show more

This is a heavy duty and stable boom arm microphone stand. It is well balanced when my podcasting mic is mounted on my desk. This unit is easy to assemble and will last for many years to come. Other nice features are that this folds away nicely and is pretty easy to carry. The unit only ways 4 pounds too. I imagine that gamers and streamers will be equally happy with this flexible stand. The media could not be loaded. Disarm seem to be pretty heavy duty and it's definitely a lot longer than any other random one from Amazon as you see on the photos attached. When the arm moves around it has a pretty solid feeling. It's pretty hefty at 3 lb. The only negative about the product is the fact that the table mount is pretty small and loose and it makes entire arm wubble in the piece of plastic, even after I tightened down the screw. I got this as a replacement for a "starter" boom arm that came with a basic USB mic. I upgraded to a nicer XLR mic a while back but was still using the arm from the old mic. It was "fine" but definitely bare bones so I wanted to upgrade. I have to admit, looking at the box when I got this I was a little skeptical, but the arm itself is actually very heavy duty and an excellent upgrade from my previous arm. (You can see the difference in one of the pictures.) The arm holding up that LED light is identical to the mic boom arm I used previously. This new one is MUCH more high quality and more heavy duty in every way. It also comes with a basic shock mount, pop filter, and some hook and loop cable ties. The shock mount is very, very basic and I'll probably upgrade in the future, but it does fit my Audio-Technica AT2020 (just barely, but it fits.) The AT2020 is a pretty wide mic, so if you have that or anything similar (or smaller) it should fit fine. The AT2020 is definitely max capacity for this shock mount though. I got this kit for the arm, which is excellent, the shock mount was just a bonus, but I am using it since I didn't have one already. I don't need the pop filter, but it seems nice enough as well and I have no complaints with it. Basic, but it will do the job if you need one.
