My only negative is that I wished the cord placement was different. As it is, the cord is in the middle of the board and this prevents you from wrapping your diamond dotting around the board itself. It would be nice if it was also wireless, but you do get what you paid for and what you paid for is pretty nice! No clips, no stand, the product is just the board. There are some around this price range with extra accessories, so if you want the extra stuff I would suggest looking elsewhere. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Once upon a time when I was a young animation student I loved using my university’s big, bulky light boards to work on traditionally animated projects. During one conversation my professor offered to sell me an extra one. Eventually my mother and her coworkers convinced me to focus on a “more stable” major instead, and I constantly regretted never getting that light board from my professor so I could animate just for fun. When I saw this product I did a happy dance. It’s a great value and perfect for any level of animator, even casual like I am now. I can’t believe how thin it is. This thing barely takes up any room. Though I wish it was chargeable, it must be plugged into a usb port to turn on. The button is big and easy to hit. It has three levels of brightness that you can change by tapping the button. It gets pretty bright and stays nice and even throughout the board. I can always see what I’m tracing pretty easily. The board is a good width for tracing computer paper. I couldn’t see myself having the need for anything bigger. It’s perfectly compact and fits in my desk drawer when I’m not using it. It’s the opposite of those big clunky devices from my school. Maybe they have an advantage I don’t know about, but I much prefer this version. It’s exactly what I’d want to use for animating. I love it! ... show more

I got the A4 size light box. The size of the lighted area of the box is 9” x 12”. There is a one inch strip at the top with the on/off switch and where the unit plugs into a USB port. If you press the button three times, it brings it to maximum brightness. If you press the button four times, it switches off. I have two large diamond paintings I’m working on right now, and the light box has been a godsend helping me to see the letters on the canvases, so I know where to place the beads. I also like this light box, because it is portable and can fit right inside a laptop case. I wish there was a cover included. The media could not be loaded. This light board is a straightforward tool for tracing and copying images. It works like it’s intended and has 3 brightness settings. Something to note is that it does not include a charging block to plug it into a wall outlet, but the usb cable can easily be plugged into a computer or your own block. The product seems like it’s not super high quality and I worry about the longevity of it. The three brightness options are nice to have, but really unless you are in a really dark location the only one I use is the brightest setting and the others just seem too dim. The other thing to keep in mind is that it is a wired light board so it has to be plugged in continuously to work. The cable it comes with is decently long so it should not impact your ability to use it so long as you have an outlet or computer with usb port near by your intended work area. I got this for use in my art classroom and the kids love using it for when they mess up an artwork but don’t want to redo the whole thing, this allows them to copy the parts they want to keep and eliminate the parts they feel are mistakes. They also love to use this for things like making hand drawn animations and other things of that nature. Overall it’s a small and semi portable tool to use for tracing and image transfer.
