I have the A3 size which is perfect for smaller projects like 30x40. When I have a larger project I usually lay the pad flat and work on my diamond painting in sections. Actually I usually use it flat for all my projects. With it flat, I can really press the drill onto the canvas. When it’s on its stand it moves a bit and I have to use my hand to steady it. It could be sturdier. I love the three levels of brightness, makes it really easy to see those dark numbers and letters. I’ve noticed reviewers mentioned the cord port. When I use it on the stand I flip it upside down so the port is on top and not an issue. I love it. It’s a must have for diamond paintings. ... show more

I love this! The stand makes it easier and more relaxing to do diamond art. You dont have to hunch over the painting anymore. I have good eyes too but the brightness helps you see better. I like how there's 3 different brightnesses. Yes it has to stay plugged in, but you could use a rechargeable battery pack. The wire for it is nice and long. It's a type c connection. Even if I used the plug with a box, it would still be good. I did get the smaller one thinking I could just move the painting around to the spots I'll be doing, if need be. You can only do so much at once anyway. Why pay more for a bigger one when you could just readjust the painting? Eventually, I would like to invest in one that is wireless and rechargeable. This is a good value for the price though. Lightweight and thin, so its probably portable. Especially with a battery pack. Could probably just use a laptop bag or a purse to travel with it. I wish I would have looked before buying this and the travel diamond art case because they sell kits with all of the items together. ... show more

This board was just what I needed, reasonably priced and great as a starting point. I may eventually look into a more portable one that doesn't require a power source within a few feet of me. The diffuser makes it so you dont feel like you're staring directly into a lightbulb while still providing sufficient light to see what you're doing. I'd even go as far as saying it provides an abundant amount of light on the highest setting that I need to make sure I have a light behind me to see the diamonds. I like the stand as well, unlike the two-arm stands, this has a full backing so I dont feel like I'll break one side or the other if I lean into it a little. My only real qualm is that the plug for the light is in a bad place when using the stand but if you flip the board around so it's upside down, it's perfect for those large and/or longer pieces. Just be sure you understand the size you're ordering! My A2 is exactly what I wanted but if you dont have a storage spot for it, you could be in trouble. I also want to take a moment to provide an absolutely huge thank you to ARTDOT's customer service. By no fault of theirs, the diamond storage box arrived cracked like it had been dropped. I do a lot of crafting with my daughter, and the cracked/broken corner had me a bit concerned for her safety when crafting with me. I reached out to ARTDOT and asked them about a replacement case. They offered a credit or a replacement but the replacement would take a bit to get to me. I took the replacement, they were quick to respond and very courteous if not friendly. It was certainly a change from some of my recent CS experiences. I will definitely be keeping them at the top of my list for future purchases if my recent 3 orders weren't already enough praise! ... show more

It helps so much to see where the drills on my diamond painting go. The brightness is great on all 3 levels. It is very lightweight and thin. I'm hoping it lasts quite awhile. I am very happy with it. I'll attach a picture of it next to my diamond painting for size reference.

I purchased this to replace an older one (different brand) that the charging port stopped working. This new light board is VERY flimsy and fragile. It's working fine for now but I don't foresee it lasting very long. I'm a bit disappointed in the quality & WON'T purchase again.
