I bought this for my 10 year old who has been using her bedroom window to trace pictures from other papers. This does the job! It is super thin and lightweight and the brightness is exactly right. The price was super affordable such that I felt it was worthwhile to get for my 10 year old who might ultimately break it by accident. It does need to be plugged in to turn on and the provided cord isn't super long so that's a little annoying but otherwise it works great. I love the size and the ruler markings along the side. My husband is an architect but also does a lot of anime drawings for our kids because that’s what they’re crazy about. The tablet itself works really well and you can set the light settings to your preferred brightness. However, it has to remain plugged in to use it. Since the cord doesn’t have a very far reach, my husband has to keep at at a few feet in distance. Otherwise it will not stay on. The first picture shows it without the light on and the second shows you how transparent a thick piece of drawing paper can appear while it’s on its highest setting. The only thing my husband complains about with the tablet is that he has to stay stationary to use it. This was something he wanted to use out on the balcony , or sitting in bed. Can’t do that if you’re restricted with distance. He does say that it makes tracings for him a lot easier and thinks it’s a very cool gadget. So overall, the quality of the tablet is great, feels like it will last a while. I can’t attest to if it’s prone to breaking easily as it seems like any kind of electronic device you would have to be careful with anyway. I absolutely LOVE this light pad!! It's BIG, sturdy and perfect for my large Diamond paintings!! Very good quality! I definitely recommend this for Dp or even drawing art!! Mine only has one light setting, on and off, no dimming options, but that's not an issue for me!

I bought the Trace Light Box on Dec. 2022 and it just stopped working in late Oct 2023. It seems like the place where the plug goes into the unit is quite wobbly/loose, maybe not making a connection. Or maybe the light stopped working because I wiped the glass surface clean with water one day when it was turned off. (Afterward, I saw that the instructions say "this product is not water proof, please only use it in dry environment.") For $15, I'll probably just order another one and hope that one works for a year at least! I guess I can use old one as a thin "board" to go underneath sketch paper. ... show more
