Didn’t realize that this was not wood! For the price, that was a big disappointment. However, once hanging, the material has not been noticeable. It is a resin plastic, painted to look like wood. It took about fifteen minutes. My teen daughter assembled this with no problem, however it looks a little off—it doesn’t fit together precisely after full assembly, which is disappointing. That being said, it is a cute lamp and hanging overhead, the imperfections aren't glaring. If you are not looking for a super quality lamp/showpiece this is a cute purchase for a den or dinette. ... show more

I love the look of my new chandelier but there is an issue with the lighting. We are going to get new led lights with a higher wattage to see if that helps. They will be frosted bulbs, so maybe that will help with the glare. I feel like the lights need shades on them to direct the light downward. Right now, the light shoots up to the ceiling and the table is pretty dark. I'll add new pictures as soon as the bulbs arrive. The installation was quick and easy, but I have to admit my partner is an electrician that has installed many of these. However, he did say that as far at chandeliers go, this was a pretty ordinary simple installation. The wire could have been a little longer, we could not have used the full length of the chain with the amount of wire there. In our case we needed to take out about 10 links of the chain. ... show more
