My daughter loves her new desk, although she was disappointed when the leg of her chair cracked as my husband was putting it together. The chair is also missing the correct bolt and screw so my husband plans to make an extra trip and look for them at the hardware store, thus making it impossible for my daughter to use the chair with her new desk at this time. If this didn't happen, I would have rated this set higher. It's unfortunate her new desk set has a crack down the chair leg and missing hardware, but she is so excited about her new desk I don't want to disappoint her even more by sending it back. I plan on contacting the company to see if they are able to send out a new chair/hardware. We'll see... ... show more

I ordered this for my middle schooler. She put the whole thing together without any help, so that speaks to ease of setup. However it's smaller than I expected it to be. I don't think this will last her until college. I feel like by the time she's in high school this will need to go to a younger sibling and I'll need to get her something more full sized. We ordered this for our 14 year old - yes this is a kids desk but it was tough to find something that would fit her size/age and give her everything she needed. I was VERY hesitant on ordering off here because I know its usually particle board and not great quality. I would admit that it was better than expected but I don't think it was worth the $$ we spent. We had issues with a couple screws/bolts stripping instantly when trying to put this together but we have extras laying around to make it work. Some missing parts but nothing that made it impossible to put together. I thought I had a picture of the desk complete but I don't. Our daughter is smaller/petite so this worked perfect and gives her the space she needs for drawing or school work plus it was small enough to fit in her room without taking up too much space. This desk was purchased for an eight-year-old, who should get several years of use out of it. The desk is big enough for a laptop computer, with space left for books, etc. Assembly was fairly simple, although it took two people to attach the shelf unit to the desk top. It is very solid and heavy.
