His knees barely go under the table haha, but atleast I know this desk will last my younger son a while. The height is perfect for any child 5-13 on average. Update: My daughter will be 11 years old soon and is 5'1". She still uses this desk for certain tasks, but prefers to do her homework at the dinner table or on the floor. She is a bit tall for it in the same way I was when she was 6; she has to hunch a bit, but her legs have space. The chair I put a crack in has not changed one bit and we've used it as a stool plenty of times. It's lasted me the past 4+ years with all wear and no tear. I'll be giving this desk away to a family with a smaller/younger child soon, but just wanted to reassure anyone browsing that this desk is of quality at an unbelievable price. Original Review: I've had this desk for over a month now and it's been amazing. I assembled it with one other person in 35 minutes, but it's definitely able to be built alone given some extra time. I bought it in teal, my daughter's favorite color. She's been using the bulletin board for her drawings, and we've got all the shelves and cubbies filled with her school supplies and workbooks. The main selling point on this desk for me were the two cubbies located beneath the desk. Many other desks offer drawers, but as her desk is on carpet it wouldn't be as efficient to move her chair every other activity to get drawers opened. It's a first-world problem, but I like this desk for that convenience feature. There's also a ton of tabletop space, and if I can manage to keep it clear of clutter, she's able to multi-task with ease. Upon assembly, I did crack the wood in the chair VERY slightly, but I'm still giving 5 Stars because that was 100% my fault for tightening the screws too much. The product tells you not to do that, but I made a mindless mistake. As for size, I bought this for my six year old, and she fits in it perfectly. I can tell there's room to grow because I use this desk sometimes and while I do hunch a bit, I still fit in the chair and my knees aren't hitting any edges. Overall an amazing purchase that she can use for years. We love it.

If you are sick of shelling out big bucks for junk, you can rest easy with this thing. It's simple to put together (took me about an hour, but that was with distractions - pay attention and you can have it done in half that time). It is very sturdy; in fact the chair bolts are so long and fit so tightly I'm pretty sure it would withstand the house falling on it. It's a very attractive design. I did not attach the bulletin board as we didn't really need it and I was afraid it would get battered (note that it can't be removed once stuck on). The price is not bad considering the quality and the fact that you get very nice matching chair. If you saw this in a furniture store for this price, you'd snap it up, and it doesn't have a cheap flat-pack feel to it. I can't speak for the other colors but the pink is classy and muted, neither bubble gum nor Barbie. It's a good fit for my small five year-old with plenty of room to grow. I'd buy from this company again for sure.

I ordered this set for my 6 years old daughter. It is easy to set up and the height of the desk and chair is perfect. She abuslotly loves it. One part of the chair back was cracked during assembling. I think the screw is too big and too long while the part is thin or maybe I just had a bad part. I communicated with the seller. The customer service lady offered full refund with free return shipping. Not even mention my daughter really love this set, it took me 2 hours to assemly them together, it is impossible for me to tear it down to return it. I only want to replace this part of the chair or just replace the chair. The seller is very easy to communicate. I was offered different options and I am statified with the final solution to this issue. I will recommend this set and the seller too. Hope they will have the chair sold separately when it is time for me to buy a replacement chair to match the table.

My daughter loves her new school desk! The desk was easy to put together. I built it in entirety in under an hour by myself. The instructions were nice and clear. The desk is solid and good quality. The lavender color is super cute as well. There was one minor flaw on the chair that made it so the side couldn’t screw in properly but customer service promptly sent in replacement parts and was very helpful. The desk does NOT smell like other reviews state. Everything is new and in great shape. The only smell is a slight new paint smell because the wood is painted, it goes away within a couple hours and that is normal with any new furniture. Perfect size for my 5 year old to do her remote learning!

This is a truly great desk! I bought it for my petite 7 year old daughter and it's just perfect. She is using a footstool with it, but she's on the short side and it just helps her maintain the right posture when she's doing her fully remote learning. She loves the color, and how there is so much space for everything she needs at hand, the shelves for all the different folders and notebooks, and the fact that it comes with a matching chair. I loved the easiness of assembling it, it took no time at all! Also, it looks really cute, and even though it offers so much room and storage, it doesn't TAKE a lot of room. It's just so well designed and ergonomic. The only esthetic flaw is the lack of covers for screw heads and the strong paint smell on the first couple of days. Otherwise - perfect, and I would definitely buy again!

We're a big IKEA house because we always need to maximize storage, so building furniture is a thing I do A LOT!!! When I opened the first box of this desk (there are two separate boxes), the first thing I said was "this is really nice. Its sturdy and has a really nice finish to it. Assembly was pretty easy with your typical screws and fasteners used for DIY furniture. I always glue wood dowels when building these things just as a precaution and to keep things tight. I'd always recommend that. one downside, if any (and I'm only mentioning this so you feel at ease if you experience the same), is that the studs that screw into the boards and get fastened by those half turn circular lock things, they get threaded into plastic pieces rather than directly to the wood. definitely screw these in by hand and not an impact gun. They also sent mine with two extra of the plastic threads in case of them stripping in the wood. Sound confusing? don’t let this little detail deter you at all. its super good quality.

I bought this for my 9yr old for Christmas. She's pretty tall, and I believe she will be able to use this for the next 3 years at least. There is a lot of storage space and it is very sturdy so I'm very confident that it will fit our needs. The color is more of a deep lavender. It took about 2 hours to assemble, but my other child helped too. There was no smell but I did air it out for 2 days before assembling and two days after based on the other reviews. It's beautiful and my daughter can't wait to use it! I plan on getting her a pillow for the chair. Worth the money! Update 1/4/23 Two years later, my daughter still sits at this desk and loves it. The color is still saturated and has held up nicely. It was worth the money.
