- Top Notch deisgn is easier to cut to size. Assembled guards are 12.5 inches long end to end, and can be cut to any length down to 6 inches (detailed cutting instructions included). If your blades are longer than 12 inches, you will either have a larger gap between guard pieces or you can get a second pair and cut them to make 3-piece guards. Blades shorter than 6 inches will likely not work with these guards.
- Springs make it easy to stretch the guards over your blades to put them on and take them off, and also hold the guards in place while you walk.

Description
Protect your ice skate blade in style. They change color with warm and cold temperature changes. These Chameleonz hard guards are made for walking. They will save your blade from dings and scratches which will prolong the life of your ice skates. These cannot be left on your skates for storage or the water trapped in the guards may cause rusting. Guards require assembly. Smaller skates will need to have these cut to fit using a hacksaw or sharp knife.

Color: Chameleonz - Blue to Purple
This is my second pair of guard dog guards in one year. I bang my foot against the ground every time I put my skates on to make sure my foot gets nestled nicely into the padding in the heel of my skates. Unfortunately, I guess I do this so hard that I pierced a hole right through the back of one of the guards. I thought this was just a fluke, so I bought another pair but the same thing happened less than a month after I got them. Both sets are still usable, but wobble on the foot where the guard is damaged. The second pair I got were the color changing ones. The colors definitely don't change as drastically as they show in the photos. When I put them on a cold blade after skating, just the bottom part changes colors. I actually like this look thought because it's almost an ombre effect.

I was not expecting this type of skate guard, but after briefly skimming the directions, I put them together with ease. Now, I love them! They do exactly what I needed and love that they are super protective and durable. I rarely skate so these should last forever.

I just don't give a 5 star review because it is supposed to be a color-changing guardog and the color doesn't really change. The ice arena environment is not cold enough to change the color. After skating the ice skate's blade is still pretty cold, so when you put the guardog on it's the only moment you can kinda see it changing color, but I've never seen it completely blue (only when I put in the freezer to test it). The product is great, but not worth paying extra for the color-changing effect because it doesn't really work.

Haven't tried it on my skates yet as it's still on transit. unlike other feedbacks the item was easy to assemble. Will update when my skates arrive. A bit disappointed that the color is not as expected.

I bought this to replace a pair of old blade guards that was unfortunately stolen :( but I think the addition of the fake bubble gum/fruity smell is definitely a thief deterrent this time. I've aired out this pair of guards for at least a month and the smell is still going pretty strong, which is insane to me. The colors are beautiful though and at least when the blade guard is on the ground I can't smell it. It fits perfectly and it's a classic, I just can't believe the strength of the smell.

First off it’s an awesome product. Fits my skates perfectly and super cute!! Feels sturdy and love how tight they are on my blades they won’t fall off. For sizing I have a size 7 1/2 Jackson mystique women’s figure skate boot. I have Jackson mark II blades that are 10 inches. The guards fit perfectly and have the “ideal gap” size that’s shown in the booklet. If you’re a size bigger like a women’s 8 or a 10 1/3 blade size I’d say that’s the biggest I’d go. Cosmetically they’re beautiful. I got the chameleon blade guards in blue to purple. They’re a beautiful sky blue in the warmth and when they get cold on the side of the rink they turn a sparkling icy purple. Easy to walk in too!!
