I bought a couple of GTD wireless mics several years ago, and they've been solid workhorses, so when I needed more mics I decided to try them again. Setup was easy - actually easier than the manual indicates. The units were all preset to frequencies out of the box, so there was no need to follow the instructions to set them up. I just put in batteries, turned everything on, and everything worked. The only problem I've seen so far is that the mics tend to distort at really high volume. I didn't have this problem on my first set from several years ago, so I'm assuming it has something to do with the gain setting. I looked at the instructions which say that the gain can be set for each mic by removing the capsule (see image). I followed those instructions but couldn't figure out how to adjust the gain. I contacted the seller, who informed me that the gain can't be set on individual mics, in direct contradiction to the instructions. I'm going to try to set the gain on the receiver and see how that goes. Overall, though, these are very solid mics for the price. ... show more

I bought these for my own karaoke system to replace wired mics. They were easy to set up and connected easily to my Yamaha MG10XUF mixer. First, the pros. The mics sound very good and are comparable in sound quality to my Shure wired microphones. I can walk right up next to my speakers without producing any howling or screeching. Even though they're made of plastic, they feel quite sturdy. Now the cons, and they are few. On the receiver, the volume buttons for the mics are recessed and can only be adjusted with a small screw driver. On the microphone, there are two buttons. One button serves as Power and Mute. The other, marked Select, changes the Group and Channel frequencies. Many times, my guests have pushed the Select button by mistake and end up changing either the channel or group, thus un-syncing the microphone from the receiver. You can lock in the frequency by simultaneously pushing both buttons, but then you can neither mute or turn off the mic, unless you unlock the frequency again. Got to have a better way of making sure users don't accidentally disable the mics. Battery life is mediocre, as the mics drain my Eneloops very quickly. I'll update the review as the mics get more use, but for now, they do the job well, with a few negative points. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Sadly both systems have 1 chennel on each of them that loose signal constantly, so u ended up with 3 working mics instead of 4... Not sure if they are refurbs but quality is not so good for the price, also some mcs have a decent range but others a few feet away only.

    • Great mics with plenty of heat!
I'm a KJ host and find these mics to be very good. They come in really hot and my singers tend to like that. I have a really good sound board so this allows me to mold the sound to my liking without having to crank the gain. As a singer I like to do challenging songs on the high end and these mics make it a breeze to flow in and out of falsetto with hardly a notice. ... show more

Always been a fan of this brand's sound quality. Wish I could give 5 stars but I'm not happy with the quality of the electronics/power supply. I've purchased two wireless sets from GTD Audio over the years (totaling $600 - not the cheapest but they do sound the best). The power supply fried the board of the first one in 6 months, never worked again. This time the power supply itself died within 2 months -- good news is both models used the same power adapter so I didn't lose my wireless microphones 20 minutes into my karaoke show this time! Let's see how they handle this customer service issue - hoping I get a new power supply adapter sent to me without a hassle. ... show more

For the money, an exceptional set of mics! Just bought my 2nd set. Only complaint would be the on/off pressure switches. They've become almost inoperable after 3.5 years of almost continuous use. Sound quality is outstanding. As a pro dj/kj , I'd highly recommend these!
