Powerful fan, works great cooling the overheating silicon. Has a thick foam padding to support the base of your laptop and incremental height adjustment. The cool thing is that this has built-in filtration. Very cool - no puns. As if dust isn't enough a problem, at least here. Powers thru a usb c and not a lithium battery so you can't take it with you unless you have power. Pretty much how the world works anyway.

This laptop fan is awesome! It has a solidly powerful fan with 5 speeds that can move a bunch of air. The sealing foam helps tremendously, I didn't expect how effective it would be and I've overlooked it the last couple times I've shopped for a stand. There is also a round pad for keeping dust out of your laptop as you use the fan. The build is decent, it's plastic but thick plastic, it's strong, sturdy, and feels durable. Historically, a major complaint I've had with stands is that the top pieces that keep your laptop from sliding when the stand is tilted are often flimsy and cheap, and that's if they even fit your laptop. These ones adjust to fit any laptop, and they are very strong, and will hold up even a super heavy laptop like mine. My second usual complaint is similar, about the legs of the stand, the tiltability. Not a problem here! These aren't flimsy at all, it has two short legs and two long legs so you can pick the angle you want, and they are safe, strong, secure. The one downside of this stand is that it's moderately loud. The foam muffles it quite a bit though, and I expect a good fan to make noise. The buttons are simple and self explanatory, you don't need a manual. There's a power button and a fan speed button. There is even a hub for some extra usb usage, with several slots. Overall, this makes for an awesomely functional, helpful laptop stand that cools your laptop, keeps it safe from sliding and blown dust and that dreaded overheating, provides some extra usb ports, and is lightweight and easy to pack around. The price is fantastic, my last stand was priced similarly but easily half the function, cooling power, and durability. I highly recommend this stand, it's worth it.

I've used maybe half a dozen laptop coolers over the years. Honestly, only one stopped working and it was after 5+ years. This IETS is well made but there are some design aspects I think could have been improved on. For starts, I'm not a fan of the notch system used to adjust the height. There's very little there that's actually catching and, while it is stable, I just prefer some other height adjusts. This is one of the less robust ones. Next, I like that the brackets to hold a laptop angled are metal, and adjustable. One of my old ones was plastic and not adjustable. It barely held the laptop up and if I went too high, the laptop would slide off the cooling pad. So great job here. BUT, only the top part is padded. I understand it needs to insert into the base but only like 1/3" is even remotely padded. That means my Legion is going to come in contact with the metal and I'm not a fan of that. Also, the way these are inserted is like a notch system, but it's not a smooth adjustment... you have to exert some control if you want to get to a specific depth. Most important, it's LOUD. My best guess is on low, it's about 45-50 db. On high, it's probably 65 db. That's loud, loud enough for a mic to pick up if you don't have a gate or some other form of noise cancellation. For that one reason, I can't really use it. I do a lot of Zoom calls and this isn't going to fly (though it sounds like it could). Last, as far as functionality, yes it does a good job cooling. If that's your main concern and you don't care about noise, then it's a solid option. I realize it's just a matter of physics here... bigger fan is going to push more air and sound louder, I get it, it's just not right for me.
