Not happy

Bought this on sell for 28$ which awesome for its value But no its not cooling enough for my particular laptop I want all temps under 80 in high gaming performance but its not doing that I would get the 60$ dollar version and return this

Overall a good buy.

I've been using this under an Alienware M17r3, which is one of the most notoriously hot running laptops ever put on the market. With a Desktop i7 CPU and an RTX2080, she gets pretty toasty. 65* at idle and 90* running pretty much anything is what I have gotten used to. I've repasted it twice since I've had it. Having the CPU constantly throttling had me pulling my hair out. I have tried other coolers without much luck, they either didn't cool it much at all, or collapsed under the weight. This one is different. It's made pretty solid, I don't feel like I'm going to break it just adjusting the height, the laptop is secured nicely and doesn't wiggle around. The built in USB hub is nice too. Cooling is where it shines. I'm now seeing 45-50* idle temps, though it does still hit 90* occasionally, it's not throttling the CPU which has made a good difference in FPS gaming, and faster video transcoding. The fans on the laptop aren't running as fast either. Overall, I'm pleased with it. I had my doubts which is why I didn't buy the GT500. It was too much of a risk. My wife gets mad when I throw things. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is the noise. On 1 and 2, it's noticable, but nothing that a small bump in the volume can't help. 3-5 are almost unusable without headphones. That said, 3-5 also push more air than can flow through the vents on the laptop. If I lift the laptop at those fan levels, I can hear the fan speed up so there's definitely positive pressure between the cooler and the laptop. IETS delivered on their design, it does exactly what it is supposed to do.

For the price, I expected a low-end, but functional and not horribly loud. I think this fan will work just fine.will update if I hit a glitch. So far, so good!

Worth the price

Fan noise is not too loud, but the cooling is very good, I have a rog strix g18 before using my laptop temperature is always 90C+ but after using this pad the temperature of my laptop drop to 60 ish while gaming, very good for it’s money cost, fast shipping as well

Does not fit 17" laptop

The product description says this fits up to 17 inch laptops. It does not. The biggest this could fit is a 15 inch. My 17 inch Lenovo Legion 5 is wider than the entire cooling pad and my fan intake vents sat outside of the foam seal. Other than that, it seemed to have decent power and would have worked out well if it fit.

Would recommend this to someone who has a laptop that overheats a lot one thing I will say that I think is important to add is that it consistently needs to be plugged in for the fan to be on and so even though I would buy again it being on isn’t necessarily the best thing and also the plug-in port is a little loose but other than that, it’s a wonderful product and I could’ve got a faulty one now that I think about it, but I think it would be good for others truly.
