I took off one star simply because the listing description has "circulation instead of oscillating" in the title, which can be very misleading for someone quickly skimming over the title. "Oscillating" caught my eye, because that's exactly what I was looking for in the fans I wanted to purchase, so I thought they would be oscillating. However, I should have been more careful with reading the full title. Why even include that word in the title to begin with? I purchased these to use in my seedling grow station, and they are doing the job for now, but they are drying out my soil too quickly in focused areas, since they don't oscillate. I will get different ones next year, and end up using these on my treadmill. The ability to have different wind speeds is very nice with these! They really do move some air effectively. They blow just the right amount of air on all the little seedlings encouraging them to grow strong and not leggy. They are easy to adjust and very quiet. I have just installed the fans in my greenery tent as an upper canopy fan. The speeds choices are good differentials and seem to have lots of power for their size. Although in a 4x6 tent like mine, I can't imagine anything more than the lowest speed setting would be needed. It is nice that they run of 5v so if I decide to take them camping I could clip them to a tent pole and have airflow with my portable battery power supply. They can be used with a timer as the device remembers the setting it was on when the power was disconnected. The issue is the noise. The item description states 37 db but I find that's not the case. A single fan, runs at L: 49db, M: 57db, H: 64db. For my tent, that might be too much noise as it's inside the house. I think in high, it would make a great sound generator for sleeping as well as creating airflow. They do seem to be a good value for the price, I've had 6" models of other brands, which oscillate and burn up in a season or two. I’m using this fan on my balcony, not really for its original purpose. I just placed it in a corner outside because my cat likes to sit there sometimes. The quality is actually pretty good, feels solid for the price and not cheap or flimsy at all. It moves the air well which helps a lot when it gets hot, so it makes the space more comfortable.
