Super easy to put together, although I had my hubby drill out a hole that was too small & he got it fixed. Not a deal breaker for me but dropped a star for that. The best thing is, it's easy-peasy to use & with the timer, u set it & forget it. I use it for a small indoor lemon tree. I bought this to replace a different timed grow light, which gave out not even a year after I bought it. This one is very nice so far. I appreciate that there are removable sections to add to or subtract from the height. When it turns on or off, it does so softly, and has a nice dimming feature if you need it. The timer works well, and doubles as a "you've stayed up too late again" alarm for me, since I have it set to turn on at midnight. The only reason I took off a star was that I really wish there was a way to route the cord down through the pipe and the base, so that I didn't have to wrap it around the lamp all the way to the base. ... show more
