I just recently bought this grinder and it's been good so far. I used it with a M18 12ah battery and it rips through ½" rebar with no problems! Battery fits snug. Very comfortable to handle; fits right in your hand. Something I love about it is that it has a brake. The brake stops the wheel faster after shutting off for lower risk of injury. Some minor bad things about it would be the noise. It is extremely loud. I opened up the gearbox and added some grease and it seemed to help quite a bit but it is still loud. Definitely wear ear plugs when using it, ESPECIALLY indoors. The guard when installed was very close to touching the cut off wheel. All I did to correct this was to bend the guard away from the cut off wheel and is much better now. For the run time on the 12ah battery I am not too sure how long it would last. I was moving the battery from Sawzall to impact to grinder so I couldn't say but I made about 200 cuts of ½" rebar when the battery was on 3 bars and after the cuts it went down to 2 bars so hopefully that helps paint the picture. Overall the grinder has done good, build quality is a 7/10 and performance a 9/10. Hopefully it lasts a long enough time. I'd recommend.

This seems like it's a pretty decent grinder, but when I first pulled the trigger after installing a freshly charged Milwaukee battery, it only clicked and wouldn't spin up. After several attempts, it finally spun up like it should. It now seems to run fine with every trigger pull. For now, only 3 stars and I will update after some more use. **Update** 8-17-2024 I used it today to grind off 16 bolts and clean up the ends. It worked fine for the 45min task. I'll give it a 1/2 star more, 3.5 stars for now. Will update after next use. Made in China.

I’ve used heavily since I got it, so far is keeping up fantastically. It’d be great if I could find some rubber protecting boots. It feels great to hold and the speed control is great. Lots of nice features.

arbor size on most angle grinders seems to be 5/8 , this one is 1/2 . It would have been nice to know that before I purchased it . not stated in description. After searching I found a supplier who had the attachment I was looking for ,otherwise it looks to be a good piece of equipment. update on this product. Arbor size is not 1/2 , 1/2 is close but after going to parts supply store to check it appears to be metric: 14/2.

Good performance, so far so good after a few months. It has a speed controller separate to the main switch. (Good idea ) feels a bit weak but so far it works good. Doesn't feel sturdy though.

When you aren't able to provide electricity to run a grinder with a cord, this is very handy to have. If you have invested money in Milwaukee battery operated tools and want a good portable grinder - this is a good alternative. One of the irritations in life is the manufacturers' desire to lock us into their battery operated tools by varying the battery configuration. I have Bosch, Milwaukee and DeWalt tools. I am running out of places to store batteries. You will do well if you standardize your battery operated tools. Also, look for alternate after-market battery packs that are configured to fit your preferred mfgr. It can be very expensive to purchase batteries for 3 or 4 brands of tools. Today women are purchasing electric tools more and more. They will find this tool comfortable to use. it is not as heavy as the corded grinders and is easy to work with in tight places. It works well and the run time on the batteries is decent. It has the adjustable handle and guard for the blades. Standard cutting blades are available at the Big Box Stores. If you are going to use it all day, it is good to have at least 3 battery packs and a charger. It is a good product and I like it.
