  • Good product
Size: 1 in.
Works as intended and solved my problem with my pressure tank connections.

  • Sealed tight and no leaks
Size: 1 in.
I had to install a new Well Water Diaphram Tank. After initial install, I had a slow drip leak at the tank’s 90 degree elbow at the PVC threaded 1 inch fitting. I decided to purchase this Sharkbite PVC connector. The fitting came with a tool to mark the correct insertion length of the pipe. The instructions also tell you not to cut the pvc pipe with a hack saw. You need to use a tool designed to cut plastic piping. After putting teflon tape on the upper thread and pipe dope at the root, I screw the fitting into the elbow and tightened it using my wrench. I then inserted the plastic 1 inch pvc pipe into the the fitting making sure it was at the marked insertion point. I coupled the union at the other end of the pipe to the supply side, opened the isolation valve and charged the tank with water. I had zero leaks and rechecked after one hour, 24 hours later still no leaks. I highly recommend this device. ... show more

  • Headache saver!
Size: 1 in.
After 2 weeks of dealing with a leak at my pressure tank, I got tired of trying to seal my threaded PVC to brass fitting. These came and saved me. I used Teflon tape and Gasoila thread sealant and have no more leaks. So easy to install. I appreciate these fittings so much.

  • INVALUABLE! VERSATILE!
Size: 1 in.
Don’t use teflon tape or rector seal if threading into metal pipe! Old fashioned pipe dope from Harvey or do it best gives me the best results. The rectorseal stuff with the microfibers seems to be prone to drips when doing metal on metal connections. That just my experience. The connections between metal & plastic can be a problem for numerous reasons. Different expansion rates, stresses imposed by stronger metal fittings especially metal male into female plastic. The ability to reliably transition from metal to pvc alone is a big deal but the added features of rotation and reusability makes this connector a home run for me. My latest application was on my shallow well jet pump. Frequent leaks due to vibration & expansion were a problem on my discharge pipe but thanks to the 1” pvc to 1” male sharkbite I not only have a durable reliable union but it’s adjustable, I can rotate that connection 360° ! I’ve used sharkbite push connector on pex & copper over the years with 100% success, I’ve never had a failure. My only advice is to apply a tiny amount of silicone gel to the pipe exterior after cleaning prior to inserting to prevent binding. Many of the fittings already are lubricated but now and then I’ll find one that’s dry. I think you can tell I’m a big fan, I highly recommend this product. I never accept anything in return for my review and I’m not associated with this product or any seller. ... show more

  • Be careful if you are not familiar with size
Size: 1 in.
They worked perfectly by connecting two of these to a copper elbow to replace a broken PVC elbow with ease: just cut off PVC elbow together with glued pipe ends inside, remove sharp edges and put the assembly right on, it might not fully reach both ends if pipes can’t be moved in a repaire job though but enough to seal it. If no leaks then apply the special tape used for underground, done. It was almost impossible for me to remove the old glued PVC elbow, re-glue a new one in the tight underground spaces if not using this part. And I had to tight them with copper elbow very hardly with a lot of teflon tapes put on the screws clockwise otherwise it leaks from the screw joints. However the size is nominal size, when it says 3/4, you are getting OD: 1", i originally ordered 1" one and that is too large. Minus one star for not emphasizing it in the description ... show more

  • made installing my spin-down filter easy
Size: 1 in.
I used them when connecting my rusco spin down filter which had 1" pvc fittings to my water filter which had 1" npt fittings. This large fitting made it very easy to connect them all together and be able to rotate so that I could tighten the fitting to prevent leaks. Very happy with how well it all went together and leak-free. ... show more

  • Expensive but easy to use and works great
Size: 3/4 in.
I had a PVC hose bibb that had been broken by a falling tree branch and needed to restore the PVC-to-hose connection, so I used this and it worked great.

Quick and easy connection without the wait for glue to dry. I used them to connect a sediment filter to the 1" water line.
