Yes its a pain to put together, but not difficult. My suggestion would be to break all the washers apart well your watching TV and not trying to do the shed. Also a magnetic tray so your not picking screws up. I did this by myself "yes I veered off the directions a few time but all worked out" instead of putting up the 4 corners I built one wall at a time.then the roof I did both sides at the same time working my way to the front . It is a little smaller than listed inside length is 7.4 and width is 5.5. and height is short so I built mine on 4x4's and now I can stand in the middle "i am 6'1". I do not like to leave bad reviews, but I would feel bad if my friend bought this and I didn’t warn them, so here it is. The color is really nice and matches our home well and that is the nicest comment I have. The shed arrived with dents already in the metal, in the same place in every single piece. It is a real patience builder with flimsy metal and 9 million screws, but we kept building. Once we finally had it put together and placed, we were just glad it was done with everything moved in. However, after the first rain storm we realized the roof leaked everywhere. A few Months later, the metal is rusty on the inside. I don’t recommend storing anything of value in it unless it can get wet. It is now a duck house. ... show more

Once it's built, it's a decent product, but don't underestimate the challenge of putting this thing together. Expect about 10 to 12 hours of labor. Directions are not intuitive in any sense of the word and you will need to drill many of your holes. If I could do it again, I would buy a pre-fabricated one. ... show more

Overall product is great for the price. It was difficult putting it together myself at times you really do need a second pair of hands, but it can be done with one person if you have patience. I didn’t have issues with holes lining up UNTIL the roof. The second row of beams did not line up to the precut holes no matter what I did. Having an impact drill and buy extra screws and bolts. My door hinges and pre drilled holes, not the screws didn’t fit - so I ran to the local hardware store and bought some new ones. I read that buying hardware for the locks was recommended and I agree. One good kick and that will be broken as the item is thin. I do think it’s great for the price. I bought the 8x6 and it took me 3 days about 4 hours each day. I am adding extra weather protection to help prevent water damage from getting inside. I think that adding screws and bolts across top and bottom will add more protection from wind/snow damage etc. I am using this shed to store a lawnmower and yard decorations etc. Overall, as a first time shed builder I was pretty pleased. I would suggest reading all of the reviews as they helped me avoid mistakes and know to have an impact driver amongst other things to build this shed. I am happy with how it turned out as it looks great in the space I put it in my backyard. I had no issues with the directions, only twice the picture was displayed in a way that I couldn’t quite figure it out. If you are on a tight budget. This will work out well. ... show more

Although I love the shed it was very hard to put together. I am sure most are but be prepared to have someone to do it with you. Also I am going to reinforce it for snow loads as I live in the mountains. For the price it is a great deal! I love it!

    • Before you buy this, talk to your therapist.
I knew when I saw the price and the reviews I was heading for trouble. "What the hell, it cant be that bad" , I said to myself. It was and more. The directions where not helpful. It was pages of drawings that didnt correspond well with the actual part. Usually I can find a YouTube sequence where someone went through the process and gave you the heads up. No such YouTube post related to this storage unit. The holes, more often than not, did not line up to put the screw through. Face it . Your going to have to drill holes yourself to put this thing together. Broke 3 drill bits and had to go to Harbor Freight to buy a new set of bits. At best, a unit like this should take you about 2 days to put together by yourself. I took me 5 days. Main reason was because I was so frustrated with it I had to throw my tools down and walk away. Make sure you secure the shed down with bolts to the base. Pretty flimsy. It will fly away from you in a good wind. I learned my lesson. Spend a few extra dollars and save your sanity. ... show more

    • Terrible metal shed
They send these plastic washers that don’t seal against rain. We had to replace all the screws with ones with rubber washers to stop the leaking. It took forever to build. We could have built two wooden ones in the same time. The peaks did not line up well and ended up dented. Would never buy again.
