When my battery died, Greenworks customer service walked me through some troubleshooting with the battery/charger and tool then issued a warranty replacement battery. Although it took a few tries to make contact the total phone time was 15 min to register my tool and battery, troubleshoot, and then receive an order number for my replacement battery. I found the process to be concise and reasonable. I was able to do all of this through their browser chat option. I purchased my 80V Greenworks Leaf blower with 4Ah Lithium battery and charger from a membership store in January of 2023. I really like the functionality of the blower and since it is not gas powered I began keeping it in the house in the closet with the vacuum cleaner. I now blow off my deck and front porch regularly where before I would have only done it occasionally. Last week the blower suddenly stopped working. I realized it was the battery. Fortunately I was able to grab a charged one from my string trimmer. I was dreading the idea that this tool line I was steadily collecting was going to be a disappointment but after this experience I feel confident the brand has the customer service to make their product worth the premium price. I have now purchased this 4 Ah 80V lithium battery as a backup and intend to purchase their lawnmower in the near future. I live in the city and have front, side, and back yards that are big enough to require a real mower but are not simple rectangles. The battery takes a charge relatively quickly, considering its capacity. It fits like a glove in both my leaf blower and edger. The run time is significantly longer than the 2 or 2.5-hour batteries; just be ready to acquaint yourself with a HEAVY battery. Last twice as long as my green works 80v 2 Ah battery in my 16 inch string trimmer. It is heavy, which I expected. Fast charge is a big plus compared to my 40 v batteries for my green works mower which takes more time to charge.

    • Battery charges could shorten life

I bought this battery because my previous one was not charging completly. I though it is because I charged it as soon I was finished using it, even if not completly discharged. With this one I'm waiting until the charge is gone completly before I charge it.

Seems to be good batteries inside. One precaution. Do not charge fully and store it will shorten lifespan. This true of all these types of batteries. Shorter lifespan good for mfg. bad for your pocketbook
