This is a beautiful desk that goes beautifully with my other furniture that is modern with clean lines. The desk was simple to assemble by myself. Although I did have to get a little creative in lifting the glass top by myself, so I would recommend someone help you. But it's relatively doable on your own if you have a little bit of strength and leverage. I've had the desk for a year now and it's still beautiful, easy to clean, and elevates the look of my room. This desk far exceeded expectations. It is very sturdy, classy in appearance and a real value for the price. It actually looks like a much more expensive desk. It ships in a carefully constructed package and is unbelievably easy to assemble with just the Allen wrench provided. I bought this in order to have the smallest space possible impacted by my need to have a desk of my own, and this genuinely delivers. It fits perfectly at one of my windows, and is, in fact, the same height as the sill. My laptop, papers, and art supplies all fit easily and look fantastic. Some of the previous reviews indicate difficulty putting it together, but if you avoid tightening everything until the end it is easy. I was able to assemble it all myself in under 20 minutes, and I am not young. The glass and metal are an added bonus as the desk doesn't visually impact the space, either.
