This is the first battery powered blower I've cone across that actually gives my gas blower a run for its money. The max blowing speed is very impressive, with the caveat that you drain the battery pretty quickly on max (which is engaged by using the "turbo" button). But even without the turbo feature engaged, it's more than capable enough to deal with moving large piles of leaves efficiently. The build quality feels pretty good. It's all plastic, but it has a sturdy feel to it. The ergonomics are excellent -- it's comfortable to hold for long periods without hand/arm fatigue. I especially like that it can be used at ultra low power. It's perfect for moving leaves off of planting beds without disturbing the mulch. The cruise control feature is especially helpful for that since you can lock in the exact power you need without having to hold the trigger. Very pleased with the performance, design and value. I have a 2-3 acre lawn surrounded by sugar maples. This blower was a pleasant surprise in how powerful it is, the volume of wind it produces. The effective distance makes the work easy -- no one needs to help push the leaves along with a rake. It does help to blow several times in a season, rather than let all the leaves accumulate and try to do the work all at once. You can do it, but it will be a lot slower pushing huge piles. I bought this since I already had a battery for the Greenworks 80v snowblower. Also, I stand by Amazon Renewed certified as everything was in working order and practically new. Long run time, not too heavy, boost button and variable speed trigger. I will never use a gas or plug-in type blower again, unless I’m in a commercial type setting. For urban needs this is top notch. I would feel comfortable using this on a farmette or property with out buildings too if I had extra batteries. You have to get relatively close to heavy debris to move it but it does move. Works wonders on medium and light debris. My garage, driveway and walkways have never been so tidy. Likeliness to using a blower has increased since 1) no plug-in and extension cord and 2) no gas to mix and fill and close windows before use due to exhaust. Would recommend if looking to expand 80v Greenworks Ecco system. If I had other batteries on hand I’d possibly look elsewhere. The price point is great on this product. ... show more

I have both, this 80v blower and the 40v greenworks blower. The 40v is quieter. It blows slightly less but is still perfect for home use. The 80v will push more, faster but it'll definitely wake the neighbors in the morning.

I have had several blowers. The best corded one is the worxs blower but it is corded and that limits it on a larger property. I also have an off brand 40v, Black and Decker 40v, and Bauer 20v. None are rated as high as this Greenworks 80v and the B&D is light duty only while the other 2 have limited battery life. An Hitachi gas blower as well. Having a Greenworks 80v chainsaw, I picked this blower up as it had a coupon and it was a better way of getting a second battery than buying one alone for what those cost. I have a wooded property and this performs near the gas blower. The 80v is quieter and starts every time without needing to prime, choke, and pull start. Run time is good on high. It will move even damp leaves. The turbo button is addicting an once you hit it, it is hard not to just use it. The high setting does work great, turbo just speeds things up. You burn through the battery much quicker, however this 80v basic battery does go pretty far. Only real con is that the batteries do cost a lot. Also the charger has a cooling fan that makes noise. While more expensive than non 80v systems, this does perform far better. I am happy with it. ... show more

I was hesitant to buy something branded "Greenworks" thinking that their focus is not on power. I was pleasantly surprised. This thing has power and I especially love the "turbo" button for those stubborn leaves that get stuck in crevices...blows them right out. Also, the battery lasts a decent amount of time. We have a half acre of our property that has heavy trees that need to be blown and it did the job. Also, the battery charges very quickly. The only downside is that some might find it a bit heavy,...but it comes with a strap to put over the shoulder to ease the lift. ... show more

    • RIP OFF!!! This cost almost $400 and battery/charger failed after 3-4 months!!! Waste of money!!!

I spent almost $400 for this blower. It worked fine for 3 months and then the battery stopped charging. I never misused the product and only charged the batter when it was fully drained. When you spend that much money, the product should last much longer that 3-4 months! I do NOT use this for a business. This is only for home use and it still did not hold up. What a HUGE rip off. Then, to make matters worse, the warranty only lasted one month?? Looks like the company doesn't have high expectations for this product either!! This is the worst product I've ever purchased. Do NOT buy this product. I did not notice the warranty lasted one month or I would not have purchased this. That says it all about the company's own expectations doesn't it?? ... show more
