    • Fantastic product! Worth paying twice the price vs gas.
This is a genuine Greenworks auger. Works great! I wish it had a set of accelerometers to detect when the user has lost control and kill the power, but most augers on the market are like that. Letting go of the button does stop the rotation immediately. This does have a reverse, which is a must-have feature when digging near roots. Does not come with a battery (as per the listing), so you must already have 60v GreenWorks line of products / batteries. 4AH battery is sufficient to run this, and I would not go any smaller. The auger is very power demanding, so have realistic expectations on how many cubic feet this product can remove per charge per soil density. This worked great for my use case, but having a spare battery and a rapid charger would allow for more continuous productivity. Again, I loved the ratio for my small here-and-there uses. I love that I can grab this out of the shed, plug in the battery, and be ready to go right away, with zero additional preparations, such as gas / oil mixing, yanking on the pull cord 8 times with the right arm and 4 with the left, or being deaf for a few hours after digging. ... show more

    • Amazing Time Saving Machine!
This thing is a bit heavy, however, it saved me hours of digging holes to plant out hedge fence. Can't wait to use it again! Worth every penny! I dug 30 holes and still had half my better power left with my 60v 2.5 AH battery.
