  • Good unit, nice price
Quick delivery, still need to test it. Make sure you add oil and run a gallon or two of non ethanol gas thru it, let it break in before you need it in an emergency!

  • Quiet and fuel efficient!
This is an update to our review: We've just received our replacement as the generator stopped working after a little over a week (no more compression). The seller is reliable, held word and dispatched a replacement. Still overall the most magnificient small, light and quiet generator out there. Definitely still full five stars! Most fuel efficient and quiet generator that powers all our stuff without interruptions. Set up was quick and easy. Powers our fridge, tv, a/c, outdoor lights and everything else we've connected this far. We have it standing fairly close and it is easy having a conversation over it. Highly recommend the generator and seller specifically. ... show more

  • Read … the buy
Now— this review is based a a few things. First this is a sub $300 product delivering 4000w+. Yes, put 500ml (ish) of 5/30 or 0/20 oil— based on your temperature/climate (that’s no different front your 59k+ car! Don’t be stupid). It’s an engine — it uses gas, some oil, and it makes noise. This isn’t something to run indoors, and many iffy for the outside of an EV on a noise level. For me— this is preparation for the arctic days coming… and I’ve broken it in like I would any other lower CC motor (like a motorcycle). First— fill the damn thing with oil! It’s got all the components to do it cleanly, minus the oil. Second— break it in! Ffs! Do you rail your car you just bought— or break it in. Don’t be stupid. Anyone owning a motorcycle knows— smaller motors need to seat the rings (4stroke) and wear in— so— feed a gallon thorough it before you bet you life on it.. that does 2 things— gives you metal security and wears the parts in so the mesh together. Noise? Well— it’s not super quiet (neither is my wife lol)… but if that’s an issue— spend more. Output— no complaints— delivers what is advertised— so don’t think for $300 you’re going to run your whole house… that’s.. just dumb— go buy a 20k propane generator for the hurricane— this is not that. I live in Texas— maybe I MIGHT lose power for 4-6 days every 3/5 years!! But— this will take me through that. My strongest recommendation, for a 4k gen on gas— follow the instructions… then— on a very low or no load in eco mode— let it run through at gallon (or two)… break the motor in so those sudden loads don’t cause issues— again, I would advise the exact same thing to anyone buying a 200cc dirt bike. By far— for the price (yeah, it’s not a 20k propane badass).. but for the price— this is quality stuff If you do thing properly… you didn’t read it needed oil. You thought out of the box you should just get lax performance-/ maybe… but this are mechanical things… do t be that a-hole who forgot oil, loaded it up to max and complained cuz you didn’t test it. Keep in mind, price wise this is stellar— will they all deliver? Prolly not. Do your due diligence and do the some idiot who complains without being responsible: Would I recommend this product. 110% absolutely— if you follow breakin procedures and respect what it can and CANNOT DO. Would I recommend this everyone? Nope. But— keep in mind, when that hurricane hits— gas gets shut off along with electric— so this bad boy will still work— consider that after - 20k generator in Florida (yup lived there etc), and yip, the Gas gets cut off if a hurricane is doing to make land-fall) This isn’t an every day (well the tv people may correct me) thing to use— but ffs, $300 ish— and buy the Amazon protection— I really don’t think you can go wrong.. We can go into the whole it’s too noisy.. it’s not enough.. look if you need 4000w the last concern is your hair curler. I know this is very long winded. If you want an emergency power source that reliable— then. Do it properly.. get the oil, the gas (unleaded). But for the he zombie apocalypse— and price. This is a serious contender. Also— I’m not some social whatever or Chinese wtf YouTube.. I’m 55yrs old and live in Texas. So if you think I’m bs, or whatever— read my gun and scope reviews. I’m about affordable survival, and I honestly think this qualifies for the price/performance metric. Bottom line— for the money— it’s a well spent purchase. Put oil in it— and let it run unloaded for an hour to let the mechanics synchronize and set. Best ever? I. Best for the price— year it does rank from my experience up there at the out level. Noise? Well— if your looking into noiseless generates your wallet needs to open a lot bigger. I hope that’s fair. ... show more
