We've bought greenworks in the past and they've always made excellent quality tools so we decided this is the blower we should buy. I must say that I'm impressed with this blower, it's very simple to use and it has a lot of blowing and cleaning power behind it. The battery life lasted longer than the 18 minutes advertised and charged a lot quicker than 75 minutes mentioned in the battery manual. The only real downside is that its a little on the heavier side and it becomes uncomfortable if you're using it for a while. It's fairly cheap compared to other leafblowers but it's still high quality and has a lot of power. This tool is just another reason to continue buying greenworks products. ... show more

With turbo mode, it is close to being real powerful, but not quite "real powerful", just "powerful". Two short steps away from a gas powered version, of the same design. That is NOT a bad thing. In normal mode, not turbo, it is perfect speed and pressure for clearing dry debris from most surfaces. Leaves, sand, small stones, weed clippings, clumps of grass. For added power, without turbo, a close surface tap is all that is needed to increase blowing power, without going into turbo mode. Cons: Turbo button placement makes you feel like you NEED to hold it. It really should be more of a side button, not a top button. Turbo drains power nearly 3x faster, but seems less than half stronger than normal. I assume it reaches the ducting and blade angle limits. It really should have a blade designed for turbo, and just run half RPM, for economy mode. This could use two more duct tips... One which is a wide and flat "sweeper", and one with a teardrop air focused insert, for pinpoint blowing control. It can handle both, but we only get a standard tapered exhaust tip. (With a little modification, it can be a flat sweeper. Heat it with a heat gun and squish it half way flat, on top. Use the ground as the other "flat".) Great purchase, but I wish it came with a 4ah battery, instead of 2ah or 2.5ah. perfect for a single large driveway or porch, sidewalk and roadway, after one recharge. ... show more

    • Blower Is Excellent but Is Power-Hungry. Buy Extra Batteries.

Great blower but the 8.0 AH battery is insufficient. The bundled 8.0 AH battery provided enough power to clear linden tree leaves from a 1,500 sq ft front yard, and partially removed sugar maple leaves from a 3,900 sq ft backyard before running out of juice. IT APPEARS THAT THE BLOWER IS POWER HUNGRY. With my spare 4.0 AH batteries, I was able to clear leaves from the rest of my 3,900 sq ft backyard. I like the fact that it took less than 2 hours to recharge the 8.0 AH battery. This works for me because the extra batteries from my trimmer and snow broom/blower supplement the inadequacy of the bundled 8.0 AH battery. I would recommend this blower IF you already have extra batteries from the Greenworks 40 volt platform. ... show more

This tool is very lightweight and of course no gas or oil mess. It does have oil for the blade. Also no cranking. It is so easy to use and the turbo button is an added feature. It works as well as my gas powered blower did. The battery last for several uses and we have a lot of concrete driveway.
