The light itself is great. However, the app that controls it, is very strange. Not very easily understood, no instructions. It's pretty much a guessing game, as to what all it actually does. And, I'm a smart person, I'd like to think. lol there is no way to manually turn it on. But, it does have a timer function in the app. As many features that are completely unnecessary. who wants their aquarium to go with the beat of the music or fade in and fade out of colors. ?? ... show more

Watch closely when ordering. Amazon defaults to the shortest length. I'm lighting a large tank 240 gallons so no biggie on the shorter light bar. I ordered 1 more for center of tank. The app is easy to use Dimmer is nice and all colors of the rainbow. You can rotate to light to any part of the tank.
