My seven year old is addicted! We love all the different super Mario games and 2 player games. The additional plug in remote included is genius. My five year old enjoys being player 2, though she is not as technologically advanced as her sis and has a harder time timing jumps and such. The battery could last longer, but for 300+ games and at least 2 hours of straight gameplay, the value is astounding! It can be played while charging. It has a headphone jack, although I haven't tried it. If my kids were to break it, I'd buy it again, though it's a pretty lightweight but sturdy construction. I even enjoy sitting back and playing with them. The screen is great and lit to be played at night. I haven't tried it outside, but figure it would be fine in shade or in a car as most screens are. It's a comparable screen to the Gameboy advance with its own backlighting. There is volume adjustment which is much needed bc it has some loud sound when it's all the way up. All the games are old school graphics which is a real throwback that I love. I haven't found the game pictured in the product image and am wondering if that type of graphic is on this system or if it is just a image that was placed. It doesn't have any save features, so once you die in super Mario for example, you'll have to start from the beginning. This might be frustrating for older kids, but for my young kids, it gives them a video game history experience and hand eye coordination practice in quite a few types and styles of games. Either way, I'm happy with my purchase and would buy again if this got broken or lost! I'll probably buy one when my 2 and 3 year old reach this age. ... show more

I bought this in January for my 4 year old for his bday at the end of January. Its now mid march,he's only tried it 4 times andn the screen is now stuck on the bed part and won't go anyway, it's useless now. When it did work,it was equivalent to the features and looks of the very first computer game,the pic of the car driving on the front is Nothing like the graphics that are actually on it,nor like the games that are on it,there's a few generic asteroid looking shooting games and some few others that none of us can figure how to play, there's no games with other levels,it's just same types of games with different names and dlsame objectives like the shooting ones and the ones we can't figure out are just trying to get a little piece to jump over bricks. This is literally trash. I expected a bit better than this. This is not worth paying even 5 dollars for. And now it's broken after my son's 4th time attempting to use it. Crazy. ... show more

Got this for my 3 year old, it is a little hard to connect for two players on the tv screen but actual handheld device is pretty cool. Not color but tons and ton of different old school games loaded on here for hours of entertainment. Im not gonna lie we have let it die out yet so not sure how long the batter actually lasts but at min of two to three hours we have gone with no probs ... show more

My 7 year old is obsessed with this video game. It’s loaded with great games that are easy for him to play. It’s fun for at home or in the car. The battery lasts a very long time, even when he forgets to turn it off! Highly recommend and great price/value!
