What a great pillow top mattress pad! I have a firm mattress with a two inch memory foam topper to soften it a bit. Over the past year or so I've been waking up with various aches and pains. A recent stay at a five star hotel with a pillow top mattress made me realize what I had been missing. I hadn't slept that well in years. I researched pillow top mattress pads for quite awhile before deciding on this one. The reviews were great and the queen size topper tops the scales at about 13 pounds. I figured that extra weight would provide extra comfort. It's like sleeping on a cloud. The only downside to this product is that leaving my bed in the morning makes me a little sad. So if you're in the market for a down alt matress pad/topper search no more! This comes in all sizes and is one of the cheaper cost ones I've found. 1. its a two layer, the thinner top layer is snapped on (plastic snaps) to the thicker bottom for easier washing (though both are able to be washed and fluffed in a home washing machine) 2. It's baffle boxed and each square is nicely filled. 3. There is no weird smells. the fabric is soft and smooth and the filling isn't lumpy. 4. It puffed up immediately. However -I let it sit for the 3 hours it said before struggling to get it on the bed (user issue not topper 🙃). 5. It did NOT give me sleep sweats which is often a worry with down alt items. 6. It definitely helped my body's pressure points and cradles without weight (not many will understand that one) I just got it yesterday and only slept in it one night..but it definitely appears to be the unicorn of bed toppers. #spooniewarrior #spooniecommunity I'll update with any changes or issues. I posted this in my support groups and on my FB as well. Wish I had a code! 😆 🤣 ... show more

The quality and comfort of this topper exceeded my expectations for this price point. I spent days reading reviews and looking into all different kinds of toppers.This is the one right here.The bigger bottom piece alone is more than worth the price.The bottom piece has such a phenomenal level of comfort by itself. The top layer just makes it even more ridiculously comfortable. I also love the fact that i can remove the top layer to wash because that makes it a thousand times easier to clean instead of having to take it to the laundromat like you would with a traditional topper thats too big for a standard washer and dryer.In my pictures it looks lumpy because that was straight out of the box and my cats immediately decided it was theirs to take a nap on. After I shook it out and let it sit it was like the manufacturer picture except mine looked fluffier.The picture with the gray sheet is for reference of what it looks like after a fitted waterproof sheet and fitted bottom sheet is over it.The last picture is with the waterproof sheet, fitted sheet, flat sheet, and duvet with cover. I was replacing my memory foam topper which the dog dug holes in. This mattress topper is so much nicer and cooler. It is soft. I agree with some other poster that said it was like a high end hotel mattress. I bought is mainly for a cooler experience because I find the memory foam hot, but after a week I don't have any hip pain! Listen, I tried several other puffy/quilted sleeping pad/covers. (Even Costco's top-of-the-line.) Returned them ALL. Now this one rated shipping weight was 2-3-4 times what the others were, so I gave it a try. Basically-Two cover/pads in one. The thinner (approx 1") top cover snaps onto the thicker (approx 2") bottom mattress cover. Great idea! You can remove the top cover (8 snaps) from the bottom (full 360 degree elastic wrap around the mattress) mattress pad for: Washing (Yes, machine washable) and or fluffing (20-30 minutes, lowest heat setting or just air, I used the low heat setting, fluffs very nicely!) Trust me, we depend on these reviews, this could have saved me a lot of head ache, So go for it...you'll love it! ... show more

I was wowed so much that I ordered a 2nd topper. It's soft and fluffy, and it sleeps like a dream. Be aware tho, because it's so plush, your sheets may not fit as well until it gets a little worn and believe me that's not a bad thing!!!!
