I am in my 60's, have MS so wake up multiple times a night for bathroom - sometimes initial falling asleep is a challenge, sometimes getting back to sleep after bathroom trip can be impossible. Have tried many aids: melatonin, nocturest, CBD cream along with all the other rules: cool, dark room all with limited success. Having been using an eye mask could not imagine a 'weighted' mask would make a difference but OMG - it works amazingly well both for initially falling asleep and then after the bathroom trips. This is a great idea but only really works if you sleep on your back. Otherwise it presses on sinus/nose. Can't wear it all night. If I slept on my back I'd probably love it but I'm a face sleeper.

This mask is amazing. I wear a CPAP O2 mask to sleep and this molds around the mask and blocks all light. I can't imagine ever sleeping without it.

    • Not as Great as Expected
When I first got this eye mask I was excited because I thought this eye mask would help with putting enough pressure to relax my sinuses and help with headaches. It did work in that sense but not for long (about 1-3 nights) before I felt like I’m wearing a sack of rocks on my face. This thing puts so much pressure on my nose I cannot breathe no matter how much I manipulate the mask. The mask won’t stay on no matter how loose or tight it is, I wake up every night with it stuck in my hair. I wish there was a type of stitching around the eye areas to keep the beads from getting to it because the weight feels way too heavy on the eyes. Other than that it’s big enough to completely shut out lights and it’s fabric is soft and lightweight you could almost use it as a normal sleep mask without the beads. ... show more

Updated: I ordered another one to leave in my suitcase (as this is now a sleep staple for me) and it’s not the same as the first and second pair I own. I’m not sure if it’s a re-design or what but that should have been made clear and not sold under the same listing. I will be returning the most recent one as the weight distribution is not as great and the shape of the eye mask is different. The only benefit I can see of the newer model is the Velcro now has more fabric surrounding it to keep hair from snagging as much. I have attached photos to my review. The most recent one is atop the box in which it came. My older order is just on the desk. Original review: I first received this item in a subscription box that was gifted to me. I used it nonstop until I lost it while moving. 😭 I was so worried that I wouldn’t be able to find the same weighted sleep mask but here it was! And it’s exactly the same! It helps me fall asleep faster and even aids in the management of migraines. I will likely by another to put in my suitcase for when I travel as I hate having to sleep without it! ... show more

    • Great if your eyes open during sleep
I purchased this mask because recently my eyes have started to open during sleep, and my doctor recommended a sleeping mask. I needed something that would help keep my eyes closed, and since using surgical tape to keep my eyes closed freaked me out, I thought the weight of this mask would help. It works perfectly! I no longer wake up with that horrible sandy feeling in my eyes, running for my eye drops. It also blocks out light very well. It works best if you're a back sleeper, but I didn't have much of an issue when I switched to my side. I noticed some reviews mentioning the mask sliding down and the weight keeping them from breathing through their noses. With the right support under my head and neck from my pillow (in other words, as long as my head isn't angled down), I do not run into this issue. ... show more

Needed a sleep mask to help me deal with neighbor's recently installed floodlight. Heard on the Today Show a recommendation for a weighted sleep mask. Not sure if this is the one, but it works amazing! Helps me get to sleep. Sometime during the night I either take it off or it comes off, but by then the light is off. Thinking about getting it for a gift. I read lots of reviews and this mask was available at many online stores.
