  • Must have for Night Shifters!
I've worked night shift on and off throughout my career, and I'm currently on again. This time around, I've been sleeping terribly. I figured it was time to give a sleep mask a try. I was initially skeptical about the Manta Pro simply from a cost standpoint. The price seemed a bit steep compared to the plethora of options, but I looked at this as an investment. Buy once, cry once, right? I'm glad I did. I've been using this for about a week now, and I'm sleeping better than I did before. It took a few times test fitting the eye cups so that I didn't get any light peeking through, but once I dialed it in, it works great. The mask is super breathable. I sleep with a fan on and can feel a little bit of air going through the mask, yet it truly is 100% blackout. I've found that it stays in position and doesn't slide around when I move. I'm strictly a side sleeper, and this mask is super comfortable. My quality of sleep has dramatically improved, even on the days where my body says "it's time to get up" after only 3 or 4 hours. I'm not waking up multiple times a night. I feel more rested when I do wake up. I'm falling asleep faster than before, and (usually) sleeping for longer. I think this is a great option for anyone looking for a sleep mask, but especially for anyone who works night shift. Do yourself a favor and get one. The benefits certainly outweigh the cost! ... show more

  • Best sleep mask out there
I've tried a few sleep masks after I started using them a couple years ago. After using mine for about a week I can say that the Manta Pro stands out head and shoulders above the rest. Yes, it's expensive. But it does make a compelling case. I was used to finding my sleep masks on the floor somewhere when I wake up. I'm not sure if they loosen up and slide off on their own or if I somehow manage to take them off while sleeping. That hasn't happened with the Manta. The strong, infinitely adjustable velcro combined with the gel "squiggle" on the inside of the strap means it stays put all night long even if I move about. The adjustable eye cups are also fantastic. I find that I usually get the most light leakage around my nose, so having two separate eye cups with the ability to space them exactly as necessary and leave a gap for the nose makes the mask more effective and increases its comfort. It took a couple adjustments to get them just so, but once they're where you need them you don't have to think about it again. Perhaps most importantly, it really does deliver on the promise of 100% blackout. Sleeping on my back, my side, or my stomach - no light gets in. One morning I managed to bump a wireless light switch on my headboard reaching for my phone to silence my alarm and turned the lights on to a full brightness setting. I went back to sleep and didn't even know the lights were on until I woke up again and took the mask off to look at the clock. Finally, the Manta Pro is extremely comfortable. It's never felt heavy, or hot, or uncomfortable in the slightest. The tapered eye cups keep it from feeling bulky if you turn your head to the side. Again, it might take you a couple tries to get the right balance of comfy and secure when putting it on, but once you're there you'll be golden. Overall, just a very well thought out and executed eye mask. If good sleep is important to you, the Manta Pro is worth a look. ... show more

  • Manta Pro Sleep Mask Delivers True 100% Blackout - A Must Buy for Migraine Sufferers!
I bought the Manta Pro Sleep Mask for my wife as a gift to replace the assortment of cheap sleep masks she’d accumulated over the years, and the difference has been dramatic. She genuinely loves this mask, and her sleep quality has improved noticeably—easily tenfold by her own account. I was skeptical at first, especially given the price, but curiosity got the better of me during a migraine recovery nap. That one use alone sold me. The darkness was instant and complete, and the comfort made it easy to fully relax, even during a short daytime rest. What immediately stands out is the 100% light blocking. This mask delivers true blackout, not “mostly dark.” The contoured eye cups completely eliminate pressure on the eyes while sealing out every bit of light, which makes it especially great for side sleepers. It stays in place throughout the night without shifting or needing constant adjustment. The build quality is excellent. Everything feels premium, from the breathable materials to the headband, which offers unlimited adjustment and reminds me a lot of the Apple Vision Pro headband in terms of comfort and fit. Once dialed in, it stays put without feeling tight or restrictive. Yes, it’s a bit pricey for a sleep mask, but the quality absolutely justifies the cost. This isn’t a disposable or “good enough” accessory—it’s a long-term sleep upgrade. As soon as I have a little extra room to splurge, I’ll be buying one for myself. Pros: True 100% blackout Extremely comfortable, even for side sleepers No pressure on eyes Premium materials and excellent adjustability Stays in place all night Cons: Pricey compared to basic sleep masks If sleep quality matters to you, this mask is worth every penny. ... show more

  • It's very, very good. Comfortable and lights out! About that price tho ....
I use this with a CPAP (nose pillows), and I love it. It is comfortable and stays on throughout the night. Highly recommended. I sleep so well, so soundly, so undisturbed now with this mask, I'm not sure I ever slept before. It _is_ expensive. No way around that. It's the reason I docked it one star. Is it really $50 better than the previous model? I don't know, I never had the previous model. Is it FAIR to dock it a star because it's expensive? Apparently, I think so, since that's what I'm doing. And yet ...the price is the ONLY qualm I have/ had about this product. Everything else is EXACTLY as promised; it performs 100% as advertised. Which you really can't say about much else in these gloomy days of the Enshi*tification of Everything. ... show more

  • Best sleep mask I have ever used in my life
I absolutely love this. I purchased a less expensive version of the face mask from the same company. While it worked very well in terms of blocking light, it was quite warm. Though this product may cost more than others it is the best sleep mask that I have ever used. The quality is excellent, but more importantly, it is comfortable and it absolutely blocks all light. I’d highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to sleep with light in the environment.. I can honestly say it’s worth the money and in the future if I ever need another one, I’ll gladly purchase it, ... show more

  • Definitely overpriced
I like it, but every night it slips off my head. This has never been an issue with other sleep masks. The silicone on the inside doesn't keep it in place. It actually slides with my hair and glides up and over my head, as well as making a mess of my hair in the process. I have short hair, jaw length. The eye pads are great, the shape is very useful for side sleeping and keeping light out. I haven't had it for too too long (4 months), and there's no signs of wear yet. Easy to hand clean. ... show more

  • Greedy Manta now cutting corners. No longer recommend.
Mantra has gotten too greedy to keep my business. This was a replacement purchase for my previous Mantra Pro mask that I left in a hotel room. I’ve never liked wearing masks, but I’m light sensitive. This is the first mask that I’ve found that I could sleep in, and I’ve been very vocal about how great the first mask was. The second mask was a disappointment. The materials are cheaper and stiffer than in my first mask. But most importantly, the mask didn’t include the form-fitting mesh bag that allowed me the launder the mask (it gets stinky). The new mask didn’t include one in the package. I reached out to Manta. The said they not longer include the ‘extra packaging’ citing their devotion to the planet. Yet the instructions still advise to place the mask on a form fitting mesh bag before washing. Where do I find that? And why should I need to for a premium-priced product? I don’t buy their pious bleating—this was a bald-faced cost saving measure (on an $80 sleep mask!) I can’t mention another branded product in an Amazon review, but a few ai searches later, I found a similar mask with similar features, that works just as well, for $30. Goodbye Manta. ... show more

  • Expensive, but works well
I echo most of what the other reviews have stated: it’s very pricey for what it is, but it also works extremely well. It takes a little while to adjust to your liking, especially if you’ve never worn a sleep mask before. But once you do, it stays on all night and it does offer true blackout. (Although you’ll get a little bit of light bleed if not adjusted over the eyes properly). The first night I tried it, I felt a little bit of pressure and saw some light bleed. But the second night, made a minor adjustment and it fixed everything. The eye cups are comfortable and don’t put any pressure on your face, which is good because you do need to tighten the Velcro strap a bit in order to get no light bleed. Like other reviews have mentioned, the main issue is the price. Not just it being expensive in of itself, but this model specifically preying on side sleepers. As far as I can tell, the only real difference between this model and the standard (cheaper) model is the eye cups taper off at the ends for side sleeping. As a side sleeper myself, it seems unfair to have to pay extra for what is effectively the same thing as the standard model (and yes, I tried, the standard model doesn’t work well with side sleeping). This model also says it supports “accessories,” like being able to replace the standard eye cups with ones that have a cooling gel on them. Not something I’ve tried or will probably bother with, as I don’t feel too hot wearing this. I am giving the product five stars because it ultimately does exactly what it says it does, but the high price might be concerning for some. ... show more
