These were much nicer than I thought they would be. I was afraid the grass like material would be too rough and plastic feeling but they are really soft with a fabric like material on the bottom. They are a good size slightly larger than my nesting boxes, however I like that it fit slightly up the wall as it helps with drafts. Swapped to these from pine shavings in the coop due to my ladies making a huge mess in nesting boxes. These have been a lifesaver and a huge help with cleaning. They easily can be cut to size to ensure correct fit in the nesting boxes and allow for rapid and fast cleaning. Simply take them out, shake and return. If they are extremely soiled, simply take inside, wash with warm water and that's it. I've had them in my coop for about two months and they are going strong. Made durable to withstand the ladies scratching at the to snuggle on. Theyre soft so the ladies don't feel uncomfortable when sitting on them. The media could not be loaded. The product is as described they feel thick and soft underneath the grass which is soft I'm screwing them into my nest box because my chickens tend to kick the shavings out so that way they don't try to pull them out and I'll take the screws out to clean them up. Overall good product I hope my chickens like them wish they were a little bigger maybe 15 or 16 in but that's okay ... show more

I have 4 nesting boxes, so I went with the 3 piece lot as I wasn’t sure if my hens would like these or not. I placed them in the boxes and the 4th was left with the standard pine chip bedding they’d been accustomed to their whole lives. I can definitely say these are a hit. ALL of my eggs are plucked from the boxes that have these pads. The lone pine chip box hasn’t had an egg laid in it the entire 3 months I’ve had these pads in place. I am going to order another set to have one for the last box and a couple of extra. The pads are simple to clean. Hose them off and let them dry.
