  • Apple bitters spray for dog
Dog had Hot spot he kept chewing on. This spray seemed to deter the behavior. Need a bigger bottle.

  • No More Bite Marks
I just adopted two kitties and they chew on every.thing. It’s really aggravating. Especially as a work-from-home couple with wires and as a plant lover it was annoying how often we would be pulling our cats off wires or replanting plants NO MATTER how well we hid or covered them! After some intense research I found this product- anything our cats chew I shake the bottle and spray- they must hate the smell and taste because they will get close and either go away or have a small taste and make a weird face and run away. I’ve been using it for a month or two now? and they’ve stopped biting a lot of things that were a problem before. I rated this a four star just because the bottle spray kinda spews everywhere and every time I spray it gets on my hands. Maybe just a bad bottle though. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that has a biting problem! Oh, and it hasn’t affected my plants in any negative way and there isn’t much of a smell unless you have whatever you sprayed RIGHT up to your nose. ... show more

  • Works Like a Charm
Product works like a charm. If you ever need your dog to stop chewing, biting, or licking an area or object, this is the product for you. I will have a warning here, which is that I do not recommend putting this on an open wound as it might agitate the area further. But anything besides that works well. I put it on my dog and they stopped chewing or licking on the area within the first lick. You can tell that they clearly do not like tasting the product at all. This is also safe to use on human skin, and you can use it for a dog who obsessively licks you or other objects such as furniture, dog beds, or carpets. Since this product is a spray, it lasts a really long time. I would say that this is good value for the cost of the product based simply on the fact that it will last you several years. Typically once applying, your dog does not go back to lick the area, and learns fairly quickly what is and is not off limits. This means that you rarely have to reapply the product several times, which extends the life of the product. My family has used this product for over a decade, and it has worked with over seven different dogs, and now the two I own. I'm fairly confident that no dog would like the taste of this spray, and have yet to meet a dog who enjoys it. ... show more

  • Not quite what I'd hoped...
Not bad, but not great. We have a new rescue dog with a lot of puppy energy. ALWAYS looking to play, chew, etc.. We also have a nearly 16 year old shih tzu who likes to sleep a lot. The new pup keeps trying to engage him in roughhousing play by slamming into him full speed, and nipping at him, even grabbing him by the tail and dragging him across the floor. So far, we've given him puzzles that he's too smart for to occupy him, discouraging bad behavior and rewarding good, and lots of time outs. Thought we'd spray this on our 16 year old to make nipping him less appealing. We were also considering spraying our clothing because new dog tries to nip at us and our clothes. At first it sort of worked. But hours later, it would wear off. Then, less than a week later, new dog stopped letting the bad taste stop him. Bad behavior back full force. Got him some long lasting, hard to chew beef tendons. Still not the best solution, but it does give us and our older dog some peace. I could see this working for some dogs. It just didn't fit ours, well, not for long anyway. ... show more

  • Perfect Bite Deterrent
I bought this to help with teaching a feral cat I've been taming and fostering that biting is not exactly a good idea. It's worked wonders. He won't chew cables, doesn't chew on any cords that have been sprayed with this, at all. Additionally, though it does dry out your skin a little, I would say it's also good for making sure they learn not to bite you. One spray into the palm, and rub it across the hand/arm to keep the critter from nipping. He's learned that hands, toes, etc. don't taste good (when they've had a spray of this.) It's a great training aid and I plan to get more. ... show more

  • Works on birds as well
I bought this product years ago for my puppy. It worked and kept her from eating my couch. I got an African Grey Parrot that chewed my couch, 2 remotes the floor, base boards, the wall a shelf an so on. Way worse than a puppy. I bought this again and sprayed where she likes to chew, she stopped immediately like my puppy did. Works on all animals! ... show more
