    • Very large person likes this chair for TRANSPORT
Unfortunately, I NEED a bariatric chair due to my weight and size. I am not a smaller person - I need the high weight limit. Because I needed this chair for transport, it had to be relatively light-weight and easily foldable. I would have preferred to spend more and get a solid steel chair that weighs 90 lbs. with a wider seat and able to hold twice the weight. It was with trepidation that I purchased this chair. Theoretically, I am under the weight limit..... still, I worry. The item arrived almost fully assembled and my brother looked it over for defects and loose screws, etc. It came with legrests which I have not used yet, but my sister put them on and off easily. My sister folded the chair and showed how she could lift it alone, if she had to. It fits easily into the back of our car. I was pushed around the house easily. As a fat person, I was pleasantly surprised that the width worked for me (though I did spread out to the arm rests). I was not "crammed" into the space. And, the elbow length padded arm rests, along with the lower piping on the front of the chair, gave me an excellent push point for standing up.     • Difficult for senior to open and set up
Box arrived damaged but chair inside looked in good shape. However senior parents could not open chair the first time. A neighbor had to pry it open with considerable amount of force. Now it seems to open and close just fine without a lot of force. Chair is well built but a bit on the heavy side for senior to be lifting in and out of trunk. ... show more

Mom said it was uncomfortable to sit in. We got her a 4" cushion. Still uncomfortable. I will say I like how light it is, but Mom can't be comfortable in it.

This product is just what the doctor ordered for my Mom..! It's wide & spacious for her to be comfortable while transporting her to various appointments. The weight is decent, not too heavy & the collapsable chair is great for storing & transporting to car. And the wheels are nice & wide to go over any paved or gravel surfaces. Plus the additional accessories included will help for transporting person from chair and/or tipping. Delivery was fine, no issues or defects & price was reasonable. I ordered the 24 inch heavy-duty transport wheelchair. It was easy to put together. It has been used several times to transport a friend from her home to doctors that are 2 hours away from where she lives. We needed the 24 inch chair due to bracing she wears all around her torso due to extensive back surgery. The chair has very impressive bracing for a heavy duty wheelchair. I highly recommend the wheelchair. The box it arrived in was damaged during shipping but everything inside was perfect.
