  • Love it!
Absolutely gorgeous, nicest piece of furniture we own now. Good size and were able to fit all her outfits into one drawer per size. I love that it’ll be functional when she’s older and the changing area can be converted. Very very happy.

  • Incredibly pretty, but incredibly frustrating to put together
I have been waiting to write this review for a week. It took me about a week to open it, and then when I did and I saw all of the pieces I felt so overwhelmed that it stayed on my floor for another week before I finally got to it. When I finally got to it, I thought that I was ready, and then as I started going through it I found myself getting increasingly upset to the degree that it actually just ruined my whole day. I put things together all the time, I build things all the time. I never have to have anybody do it for me, but this really ticked me off. If I had known for a moment that this thing would be so difficult to put together, there’s no way that I would’ve purchased it. I definitely recommend that somebody pay somebody to do this. On top of that, I’m not kidding when I say that I went through that entire box, the slats that go on the drawers themselves are nonexistent. I combed through that entire box. And speaking of box, this thing was so difficult to get open. I like to think that I have plenty of space considering I live in a two bedroom apartment. But it opened in such an odd way and it was really frustrating to get open from the beginning. So now I have a drawer about 90% or less put together because there are no bottom drawer slats to seal the drawer. No, let’s talk about what it looks like. It looks pretty. It’s my favorite color, I actually got this for myself not for a kid and I was planning on putting my records on the side instead of having them where I currently keep them. I thought it would be fun to flip through them like that and keep them on display in that capacity, but unfortunately, I ran into an issue with that drawer build. The color is perfect. It actually looks even prettier in person. Now, the quality. It’s heavy and it’s extremely sturdy. You definitely don’t have to worry about that. It’s as heavy as you would expect a dresser to be. But while I was putting it together, I was leaning some pieces onto itself, and I found that it easily damages. The slightest tap causes an indentation on it, which makes me wonder what kind of material this is. While I was putting it together it ended up with a scratch on the top, even though I barely did anything. These things don’t come out of it, and our irreversible once they happen and for that reason, I question the quality of It Considering that, and all of these factors, I’m not sure about the value for money. I haven’t been to IKEA forever, but I do feel like when I put together things from there. It’s not this complicated or frustrating. You can make it better quality even by changing out the knobs. Although I was preparing to do so I never got to that point because I can’t continue putting it together without the slabs. If I had, I’d probably been still at three or four stars, considering the whole picture. Maybe if it had become built, I would feel differently. But putting it together matters, especially at the prize point. But also if it had come together, it probably would’ve cost more. The denting and how easily damaged it is really plays a huge role for me though. ... show more

  • Well made
Well made. It weighs a ton. So you will need two very muscular people to move it anywhere. We bought the green and it’s a beautiful shade.

  • Nice Quality but needs drawer adjustment ability
I was actually really impressed with this Graco Reed-with-me 6 drawer dresser which has side bookshelves. I'll start with the first thing which is that it is very heavy. It says it weighs about 130 lb and that is no joke. The building process was not too bad however I noticed some things that I think should be addressed by Graco. The first is that there is a center section which does not have any connection to the back bracing of the dresser. I've included a picture here as well as how I address this by installing a single screw to keep these two items together. The second thing is that the back of the dresser is as typical a folded piece of thin veneer style wood. This collected styrofoam in the box and I had to clean all of that out because it was stuck to the tape on the back side. I was very impressed that the back is held on with actual screws and not little tac nails. Finally the construction completed with drawers and they do end up being fairly sturdy but I did not care for the plastic inserts that were used to hold the face on. They stripped very easily and I'm not seriously concerned about them coming out but it could have been made much more sturdy if they used a different fastener mechanism. Finally the drawer alignment is nearly impossible to adjust. You will see from my picture that there is some significant variance in where the drawers shut. If you push them in all the way you can make them almost all flush but where they sit in the pre-installed drawer rails allows for no adjustment. After assembly is complete there is an included wall attachment to keep from tipping the dresser. With the weight of this thing you want to make sure you attach it to a wall in the studs so you don't end up with an injury or death if it were to tip over. To aid in preventing it from tipping the drawers do include a center latch which prevents more than one drawer from being opened at a time. If you need to manually take out drawers you can simply reach underneath with a drawer removed and lift the latch to allow other drawers to be removed but in the general use of the dresser it is a good safety feature. The drawers slide very nicely and you can certainly put different knobs on it but the dresser does come with neutral wood knobs. There's plenty of room for books on the side or possibly some baby care products however this is not intended to be a changing table. For the price range I would have expected a little bit nicer adjustments for the drawers but it is an overall nice piece of furniture with actual wood used rather than compressed particle board for most of the construction. ... show more

  • Solid wood - absolutely beautiful and sturdy, will last forever
This dresser is gorgeous. It's super sturdy and is solid wood. This is a "buy it for life" piece of furniture. My son is 12, and I expect him to have this into adulthood and beyond. It's big and has plenty of drawer space. I assembled this by myself. I'm not a big or strong woman lol, so I did struggle a bit at the beginning because the box was almost as tall as me and the pieces are not light. It took my like 10 mins just to inch the box in from off the porch lol. The instructions were pretty straightforward. There were only a few times I was a little perplexed, but it was due to my mistakes and not the instructions. All of the hardware was contained within a huge box. It was clearly labeled in long plastic packaging. It was easy to find what I needed. It took me while to assemble ( I used a drill also - highly recommend!). I worked on it for several hours the first day and probably 2 the next to finish the drawers. But the end result was worth the time. I love the rounded look of the top and the 2 side storage areas for books or anything else narrow you want to put there. The only thing I don't love is the drawer locking mechanisms. Apparently these are on most if not all new dressers these days? I wasn't aware as all of our furniture is older. But I guess it's for safety so kids can't open all the drawers and tip the dresser. I appreciate that for little ones. However, my son is 12 and that's not a concern. It's a little annoying when I'm putting his clothes away in the drawers and I have to make sure I fully close a drawer so another will open (while I have my hands full and am trying not to drop things. I wish there was a way to disable it for older kids or adults. It's not even remotely a deal breaker though. I'm ok with being a little inconvenienced if it means other people's kids can be safe, but I do wish I could disable it for us somehow lol. If you're looking for an incredibly nice dresser to invest in, I highly recommend this. It's not cheap in price or quality. This is one of those "you get what you pay for" items. It's the nicest quality piece of furniture in our house. I couldn't be happier with it. My son loves it too. I never thought a 12 year old would be so excited about a dresser. But he loves it. I've included a few pics. Unfortunately, the camera on my phone quit working before I finished assembling it. The last photo I took was in the building process. I'll try to add a photo of the finished product as soon as I can. ... show more
