I have had this changing table for 8 months now, and so far this has been how it has performed: - Price: at the time that I bought this, I felt that the price was fair. It wasn't the least expensive model that I found, but it also wasn't the most expensive. - Assembly: While the assembly took some time, it wasn't overly complicated. The instructions were pretty clear, and I only needed to glance at them, given how relatively easy it felt for the assembly. The only reason it took longer was simply because I didn't use any power tools for this one. - Quality: I rather like how the quality of this changing table punches higher than its price. The pieces fit nicely, the wood feels solid, there are no gaps or creaks anywhere, there is ample storage space, and the changing pad and area is big and not uncomfortable to use. - Usability: as of right now, I have not ended up using the changing table itself that much, not because it's bad in any way, but because it's more convenient to change my baby at the bed. However, this has become a regularly used storage device, which still occasionally serves as an actual changing table. Overall, I definitely recommend this. Cute, sleek design. Not to hard to build but time consuming. The drawers are really hard to put in. You can only open one drawer at a time due to a child lock safety. Drawers are easy to open and close. Handles are alittle small so kids have to be delicate. I can see them easily getting lose if a child is rough or hangs on them ... show more

I put this together myself and it seems very high quality. It’s very clean looking and has features that prevent it from tipping when multiple drawers are open. The only thing is over a few months, some bolts in the drawers will come loose and then the drawer door falls off but it can be easily fixed ... show more

Pros: Price is great When assembled dresser is heavy and seems very sturdy. Despite having the thin base for the drawers they do have a middle support so I think these should hold up fine with kids' clothes. Fairly easy to assemble (does take some time, but instructions are pretty clear) Packaged well, the box was damaged from shipping but the dresser was unharmed. Cons: The veneer on the particle board scratches pretty easily, so use care when assembling Drawers are shallow (only an issue if you're thinking of using this for adult clothing) I was cautiously optimistic when ordering this due to some of the reviews. I live in an apartment, and it was delivered to my door thankfully because it is definitely a two person lift on the box. I got it inside and assembled on my own in a few hours. Take your time to read the directions, for the most part it is straight forward, though some pieces I had to flip ahead in the steps to confirm the placements. I definitely wouldn't put anything wet on the surface (glasses, towels) because I'm sure the veneer will peel/buckle. But it looks great assembled, and for the kid's room I think it's money well spent. I would definitely order again. ... show more

I am writing this to warn other parents of a major safety defect with the Storkcraft Brookside 4-Drawer Dresser. I purchased two of these units—one for each of my daughters. While one has been functional, the second unit suffered a catastrophic failure of the drawer stops. My preschool-aged daughter was opening a drawer to put away clothes when the safety stops failed completely. The drawer came entirely out of the frame with clothes in it and fell on her. I was lucky to be right there to catch the edge of the drawer, so her foot was only bruised rather than smashed. The drawer broke during the fall, and I chose not to put it back in. I ended up ditching the entire unit because I could no longer trust the hardware. I was shocked to see that Amazon’s AI (Rufus) was still recommending this unit for children’s bedrooms in 2026 despite these safety concerns. Critical points for buyers: Inconsistent Quality: Since I own two, I can confirm the hardware is hit-or-miss. One unit’s stops hold, while the other's failed without warning. Nursery Marketing: This is marketed for kids' rooms, but the "Euro-glide" tracks and plastic safety stops are not durable enough to prevent a heavy drawer from falling out if a child pulls it. AI Recommendation Issues: Even after reporting this incident, the automated recommendations still label this as a "durable" option. Do not trust the AI for safety-critical furniture. If you have this dresser, please test your drawer stops immediately by firmly pulling them to the limit. If there is any "give," the unit is unsafe. I strongly recommend choosing a dresser with metal-to-metal safety catches or a different brand entirely. ... show more
