It took me 3 days to put this together. Granted, the power went out during a storm on the first night I started on it so I had to stop… and then I only worked on it for a couple hours the second day before I had to stop because my daughter was having friends over for her birthday… but, if I was to add up the hours… I’d say it took me maybe 5-6 hours all together doing it by myself, but with the help of a couple beers too of course. Putting the frame together was pure torture. I say this as a human being who isn’t in the greatest of shape and has rarely ever had to put furniture together before. Even though I wanted to die as I put all the support pieces together, I have to admit it really is a simple process. Insert screw with washer, tighten with allen wrench. Simple. Awful. But straightforward. I was one screw short for the back panel, but I could have very possibly just dropped it and was unable to locate it. I needed a hammer for the push pins. The bottom board for the drawers were numbered 14 instead of 15, as the instructions said. There was another part also numbered 14 so I had two different parts numbered as 14. The instructions showed the assembly of the frame backwards/inverted so it took me a while to get started until I figured that out. None of those things were necessarily an issue. Just wanted to point it out. As you can see, I purchased different drawer knobs… they did not come with the chest of drawers. The black wooden ones pictured in the stock photo are the ones that came with it. Overall, I love it. There were soooooo many screws and additional brackets. This thing may be made out of soft, cheap wood but it’s built pretty solid. It’s going to last for many, many years. With that said though, it does dent, knick, and scratch pretty easily. Regular use shouldn’t cause very noticeable cosmetic issues however. You just can’t be rough around it. It came packaged very well. It was packaged with lots of styrofoam and wrapped in protective film, packaged tightly inside of a box, then placed in another box for extra protection through shipping. It was VERY VERY heavy though. My 14 year old and I couldn’t even get it inside the house after it was delivered. I had to call in some muscles to get it inside and take it upstairs where I assembled it. The actual chest of drawers itself is quite heavy, but much more manageable for moving than it was when it was in the box. I’m very pleased with this purchase. I’m glad I chose this one, even though it’s a baby brand… this was for my 14 year old daughter. And she’s very happy with it too. In fact, she picked this one out of 5 I had shown her. ... show more

This might actually be my first product review and I've been a prime member for as long as I can remember it being available(Just about). The reason I'm writing this review is because I was pretty scared to be honest when I started putting this thing together. I was afraid that something would be wrong and I'd have to pack it up and ship it back. I'm lazy as heck so that sounds worse than it is. In fact, I'm so bad with returning things, It would probably just sit broken in my garage. With that said, when it comes to prefab type work, there is always going to be some variation. I saw some very slight variation in the location of the pilot hole was on some of these boards. They were ever so slightly off that it might make the board off flush by a millimeter. You could not complain because if you make sure its lined up when it comes to tightening it down, it is flush at that point. The scare came when I was putting the second side on, the middle braces, at least on one side, looked to be too long. I measured them roughly, a slight difference but I just tightened them down and it went together to my relief. I'm not sure if there was a bit of warping on one side or the other which made this seem worse than it was, but once its tightened down it wasn't an issue. The other only real persistent issue I can see, is that the braces that go on the bottom of each drawer, they can pop out easily. The front and back walls of the drawer aren't fastened in a way that the middle section is immune to flexing. If it does flex, then the slat can fall out the bottom. I'd recommend some wood glue on them once you've put them together. Because of the way they are setup, you could do this after the fact by just pulling the drawer back out. The bag the screws come in is a joke, I think it was punctured and then taped closed by someone. A few of the screws were not in the bag but inside of the box part the bag is wrapped in. There was also a 5-6 inch scuff on the inside of one of the 'sides' which had been painted over. I'm not sure exactly what kind of damage it was, but it was not in a visible spot once it was put together, but I definitely had the feeling that someone may have had this unit before me, or there was a bit of damage to it at the factory somewhere. The drawers themselves open and close with no issues, the gaps won't line up perfectly but they don't hit anything. For the price you pay, and the sturdiness of the unit(Its pretty heave and you can really crank down the screws on the drawers) I don't think there is a better dresser to buy on Amazon. I'm very glad I bought this one for my 8 year old, even though he will need a stepping stool to see into the top drawers. Lastly, this is not hard to put together. If you were the kid in high school who couldn't dribble the basketball or pat your head and rub your tummy at the same time, then sure, you would think its difficult. But for myself it was very, very straight forward by just looking at the instructions. It does take a couple hours with a hand screw driver however, but I never trust those very easy to build cheapo furniture anyway. ... show more

Really good dressers I brought two of them missing a few nails for the back but I have extra around my home otherwise it’s a really nice durable I’m glade the had the dresser put half way together very tall as well will recommend
