I like having the option for the cuff ‘gloves’. the fur hood warm and comes out over your head to cover your forehead (it also zips off if you don’t want to use it). I love the color of this coat - it is such a pretty shade of blue. The coat is the perfect length for me, covering midway down the thigh. I love the hood - I can make it tighter so it stays on and closes enough around the neck to keep the wind out. The sleeves are a little long but I'm finding when it is cold out that that's not such a bad thing. I walk my dog daily no matter what the weather, so this coat will definitely keep me warm.

Beautiful coat, beautiful periwinkle, soft fabric, thick warm coat. I'm 5'4", 130#; size medium is usually a little big on me, but this coat fits just right; maybe a little snug, and the sleeves seem a bit short (worn over a light sweater). Also the waist-tie is a little higher than I'd like it. It's warm enough I won't need a thick sweater underneath so that's ok.

I REALLY like this coat! I wanted a coat to wear hiking in the snow that was really warm without being too bulky and long enough to cover my behind but no so long as to get in the way of hiking. Check, check, check. This coat is really pretty - I got the Navy and it's perfect. It has a generously sized (maybe even a bit too large?) detachable fur lined hood and double closures up the front to keep in the heat. It also has long ribbed cuffs that come down my hands half-way, which I really like, and I have very long arms so it might cover your hands if you don't have really long arms. In most things I wear a Medium but I ordered a large based on reviews and it fits perfectly. Enough room to layer under it if needed, but I don't think I will - I was starting to sweat just trying it on and walking around in my air conditioned house lol. I love the strings on the sides, you can either tie across your waist like a belt or cinch up the sides and back and tie them off independently, which is what I did. That way the coat stays close to my body without the hassle of tying and untying it. I will say that I agree with the people saying the zipper is cheap. It feels far less study than the coat does, I'm going to wax it hoping that helps and just try to be careful since this is not a coat for every day, just for when I'm hiking in the snow. UPDATE: After 7+ days in freezing temps and back country snow hiking, this coat totally delivered. Super comfortable, kept me warm and dry in extended light rain and moderate to heavy snowfall, perfect length to keep me warm without getting in the way, lots of pockets and places to keep essentials out of the weather and within easy reach, and multiple ways to wear the hood depending on weather. The zipper did get sticky at times, I was afraid I would break it. I just made sure I was keeping the track taught and zipped very very slowly, it was fine. I am so glad I found this jacket, it was a lifesaver on my trip!

This coat is of great quality inside & out .. it has nice lining at sleeve cuffs .when pulled back .cute black & white checked not shown in photos....the lining is thick ... true Warm coat for Cold weather. I followed reviews of coats with thick lining & ordered larger size than usual ...results success in sizing . I ordered 2 & I'm delighted.. Great value !!!

Based on other reviews I bought a size large in black when I usually wear a women’s med. The large was huge and so baggy on me so I returned it and tried a med. The med is a much better fit, it’s a still a little big but I think it will be good if I need to add an extra layer underneath. If it didn’t have the string to cinch the waist in it would be way too boxy for me. Still deciding if I’m keeping the med or returning and trying a different brand. It does feel like a very warm jacket with the fur inside

The overall design of this coat is good. The black and white gingham pattern on this inside of the sleeves is weird and does not match the overall style of the coat. The strings to cinch the waist are entirely too long and placed in an odd position on the coat. It is too high up on the coat to be natural. I ended up cutting the strings off because they are useless. It is a form fitting coat, and difficult to wear layers under (although it can be done). It is definitely a warm coat, and a good choice for a casual Winter coat. I was wearing layers, and this coat kept me warm in -10°F weather.
