I am 5:6 180 and got a med. I finally bit the bullet and had a tummy tuck. I have the compression belt from the doc that I wear every day, and will for about 6 months or so. I have a wedding in 2 weeks and needed something I could wear under a dress that didn't show like my belt I got from the doc post surgery (5 weeks ago.) This compression belt is super quality, and the fabric will be very breathable. It took a hot second to get the thing on, which I expected, but once I got it on and in the right place I absolutely love it! My stomach is still quite swollen, so I def need some sort of compression belt/strap/sinchar pretty much 24/7 for the foreseeable future. The boning does not cut in my waist at all, and seems to really conform to my body. I am very happy with this belt, and prob will buy one in the nude color as well. It hasn't rolled down as of yet, but I will update if it does after the wedding because that drives me totally nuts! So, I do highly recommend, and if your pants size is above a size 10, I would size up from the med. I wanted a snug fit, and that is definitely what I got. Highly recommend! BTW, when leaving reviews, especially on clothing, please add more than just "didn't fit, gave as a gift, nice, she liked it, good, etc." I really rely on reviews to make the right color and size choice! This is a super cute addition to my wardrobe for both daily use and fairy/rennaisance ensembles. I've worn it twice for a total of about 8 hours, and the fabric is beginning to fray near the snaps already. It is likely not built for hard use, and I am hard on my things... The elasticity is enough for me to be comfortable, and I can't handle things being tight long term so that's a big deal. Hopefully it will last at least a couple years. The corset itself is going to be covered by a bunch of other pieces, so I didn't want to spend too much money on something that wasn't going to be a statement piece. This one had the best reviews for the cheapest price, so I looked into it and decided that I liked this one. I don't regret it! The fit is true to size; I ordered a large and it's just right, somewhere between just tight enough to be fitted but still loose and breathable. The leather is good quality for the price, and the elasticity makes it really versatile. It looks like it will hold up well, even though I'll probably only be wearing it a few times.
