The camera has a 'Field Of View' of 110 degrees and a 90 degree remotely adjustable lens angle and 'Gesture Mode' for for capturing videos and takings photos. The video transmission is flawless and of high quality. It is extremely easy to fly with GPS and optical flow positioning. It has a very advanced flight control system with 'Return To Home' functionality in case of low battery or signal loss. It has 'GPS Follow' and 'Circle Fly' modes. These features make the drone ideal for beginners, along with 'Headless Mode', 'One-Key Takeoff', 'One-Key Landing' and 'Waypoint Fly'. All of these features means this is one of the easiest drones for beginners to fly. It includes a transmitter with phone cradle, 2 batteries (each battery will give you about 20 minutes of flight time depending on throttle management), brushless motors, 2 charging cables, a full set of replacement blades and a padded carrying case to keep everything together and protected. I bought this GPS drone with 4K camera over a month ago and have been flying it regularly since then. Setup was very easy and straightforward — I was able to get it up and flying quickly without any issues, even as a casual user. The home/return button is extremely useful and gives a lot of peace of mind. Whenever the drone gets a bit far or the battery is running low, one press brings it back smoothly and safely. That feature alone makes it feel much more beginner-friendly. The camera quality is impressive for the price, and the GPS keeps the drone stable during flight. I’ve spent plenty of time playing with it, trying different modes, and it’s been fun and reliable every time. Overall, this is a solid drone with great features, easy controls, and excellent value. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend it.

I bought this drone for my husband mostly for fun and to help check our roof without climbing up there. He has flown drones before, and he was impressed with how smoothly this one flies and how easy it was to get set up. The screen view is clear and makes it easy to see what you’re flying over. It feels stable in the air and responds well to the controls, which gave him confidence flying it around the house and yard. Battery life has been solid! . I guess it is an OK starter/beginner drone, but using it is NOT intuitive. It is not very stable in a lite breeze (under 5 mph). It is unable to hold a hover in place for more than 3-4 seconds before drifting. When drifting it also tends to turn so applying a little power to what you thought was forward sends it in the wrong direction. In beginner mode it tends to loose the signal in less than 30-40 foot distance from the controller. On the positive side, it is pretty durable and so far has sustained 7 crashes with no damage, even to a propeller blade.

Excellent Drone for Beginners and Experienced Flyers! I’m extremely impressed with the Hocany GPS Drone with 4K Camera. From the moment I unboxed it, everything felt well-built and thoughtfully designed. The foldable design makes it super convenient to carry, and setup was quick and beginner-friendly. The 4K camera quality is outstanding—crisp, stable, and perfect for capturing smooth aerial footage. The 1312ft video transmission range works flawlessly, giving me plenty of freedom to explore. I also appreciate the generous 40-minute flight time, which is much longer than most drones in this price range. The smart GPS features are the real highlight. 12 year old grand son got it for a Christmas gift - Connectivity took around 45 minutes ( so not real easy ) flight time is only 20 minutes per battery ( recharging took about 2 hours per battery ) He said was easy to get air bourn - overall a good purchase for the cost of this drone . Only con and would boost the rating if the company would sell replacement parts ( such as batteries or propellers ) which they do not at this time .. but at present he is really enjoying it - wished i had chosen a produce with better product support ( replacement parts )

I don't know much about drones, but I know this thing is super cool. My 9-year-old has been BEGGING for a drone for a year now, and we finally caved for Christmas. This comes with extra blades, which is great, especially since my son is mainly the one flying it. Folds down into a pretty compact case that carries everything it includes. The controls hook up to an app on your phone, which is covenient. The beginner mode has been awesome to help him fly it without crashing. It also has a "follow me" mode, which we are excited to use on his next bike ride around the park. I would definitely recommend buying.
