  • I'm a happy gamer!
I bought this handheld mainly to play my PSP games which play very well on here without the need to tweak the settings but I was also introduced to android gaming in a big way. First person shooters are really great on Android. Currently playing Kill Box and looking forward to playing PubG plus other shooters. I also like playing retro games on here too but you may have to play with the settings or map your buttons. ... show more

  • This thing is great for streaming games
I got this specifically to stream games from my PC and GeForce now and does a great job even on 4g, I wish it was 5g capable but it's great for laying around and playing controller based games, you can get about 8 hours or so of play on a charge, the video is from a keyboard mouse based game I mapped to keys that's why it looks like I can't do anything. But overall it's great, just waiting to get my steam deck and wanted something to fill the need until it gets here. My only real complaint about is that it does get a little difficult holding it for long periods because it's kind of narrow and my hands are larger but that's not really a complaint it's just a slight annoyance ... show more

  • The buttons are not comfortable
I really liked the gpd brand and this gpd xp. It worked really good and all I was using it for was emulation. But I dislikes the buttons and switches. They all felt too clicky and not comfortable. The Nintendo switch joycon buttons felt better then the controllers for this. Other than the buttons I was satisfied with the product. ... show more

  • Earns the reputation
In a world with cheaper alternatives this one exists and is like HBO max and PlayStation premium pricing with none of the benefits Pros: I like the aesthetic, analog sticks are decent, screen and touch screen were nice, emulates stuff up to ds decently Cons: These buttons blow I only used the device for 6 hours and my a button got extremely sticky and broke, the android it’s locked to ensures that you can’t use this as a normal device, for 500 dollars you are essentially getting something less powerful than the considerably cheaper alternatives, you are supporting a company that has consistently come off as arrogant Never spend money on this. You are supporting Chinese Electronic Arts from their lovely responses to their customers online. If you desperately need an android gaming tablet go for their considerably nicer competition Ayn and their Odin tablets. You will wait longer but bud trust me you will regret spending 500 on this compared to 250-350 their competition sells at. ... show more

  • It is exactly what it says it is
Amazing at it being what it says it is ..it is. The only one of its kind makes it awsome but not flawless

  • Good for streaming and emulators too.
The GPD XP is a good gaming tablet not only for emulators but for streaming too. If it’s one thing I wish they’d done differently is to have allowed the dpad module to be removable also then at least you could just look at the screen making it truly dockable. But the battery life and screen clarity are excellent. ... show more

  • perhaps I was expecting too much
I had another device from GPD and I was waiting to get this one as well. but disappointed because it is not easy to set up to use this device if you are a retro gamer like me. if you don't know how then pass this one until they come with an easy system like RG products.
