I have quite a few gadget tools. I buy them hoping they will make tedious tasks a little easier... like when I'm laying LVP or laminate flooring and I have to make a cut... or multiple cuts... to accommodate something like a door jamb, toilet flange, 100 year old trim that I won't dare try to remove... etc... With each new gadget tool I hope that MAYBE this one will work as advertised.... If you have patience and time... meaning you're not getting paid by the square foot where time equals your paycheck .... I'm sure this would work. Actual real world use on a job site... this was just to flimsy and it took too long to adjust and tighten the tiny adjusting screws tight enough so it wouldn't slip out of adjustment when pressing it tight against a wall... It absolutely did not perform with lightning speed and efficiency as you see in the videos. I'm not saying it doesn't work... if you have time to monkey with it and have more patience than Job...     • Not made for sharp pencils & if you need to scribe smaller than 1.5" you will be disappointed

All plastic, can't use a proper pencil that was sharpened with a sharpener, because the taper won't allow you to lock the pencil in, you have to use a knife to sharpen it so there's a very short taper. You can't scribe smaller than 1.5", so if you are in a tight space this won't work. I guess using the tried & true method of a compass is the best bet. ... show more
