I love these sensors I have been finding more and more uses for them. They have helped identify some areas in the house that needed attention where the air is stagnant or we have higher humidity. Got these to expand on our current setup and I cant say enough good about them to be honest. They are small, easy to use, set up and are surprisingly accurate for being so small. You can hang them from the thin strap they come with or attach them with velcro as I have done in certain areas. The batteries really do last about two years, I just last month had to replace batteries on other sensors I have had but I will say the wifi sensor has gotten smaller in this time which I love. You can plug in the wifi sensor this one comes with and still have space for the other plug which my old did not. The app is great and easy to use and provides you with several different functions and shows you trends and changes that you can go back and track along with real live time temperature and humidity. I have used these in our attic, the kids room and even in a cooler to make sure the temp didn't get too high. I have them around the house, garage on the porch, pantry and just keep finding uses for these. I have used Govee items in the past and these are made well and work well just like the other products I have used from this company. Overall I am really happy with these and will most likely be adding more to our set up still.

I COULD use the sensors + app WITHOUT using the Wi-Fi hub. I COULD use the sensors + app WITHOUT creating a Govee account. First I'll say there is a minor installation hurdle to this but there's a simple workaround, or at least there was when I got mine. On the main screen of the app there's an add device button and, after declining to login to a govee account, it does scan for the sensors, which do appear to be detected by the app, only when I went to establish a connection with one it failed every time. The workaround I discovered for this was to go down further on that main page and find the section listing all the devices Govee offers, here's the steps: - manually search for "H5110" - select the "Smart Thermo-Hygrometer" - choose "Connect without logging in" - click whatever H5110_XXXX device appears (do one device at a time) - wait to be prompted about an LED light flashing, then click the small rectangular button on the back of the sensor - sensor should now be connected Why doing it this way works and the add device section (which is nearly identical) does not I couldn't say. And I suppose there's always a possibility that Govee didn't intend this to be allowed and patches it in some future app update. But at least for now this is how I got the sensors added to the app without using the WiFi hub or creating an account. Obviously without the wifi/account active you lose features like remote notification, long term data storage, As far as ACCURACY goes, I cant tell you how accurate the readings are but I can say that when I put all six sensors in a sealed plastic box and their readings eventually all settled to within 0.2°F and 0.5% humidity of each other, and I think that's pretty good. When I deployed the sensors I observed readings in rooms I knew to be warmer than others reflect such so I think that's pretty good as well.

I have numerous Govee products and have nothing but good to say about them. They are well made, inobtrusive and inexpensive per device and the peace of mind they give me. This one is no different. I love the fact that all of these type of products (hygrometers/thermometers/leak sensors) all link to one app and that they keep me informed about the status of my home when I'm away from home or in places, like my encapsulated crawl space, that I don't go into frequently. The setup instructions are clear and the devices and hub are easy to pair and even those that are far away from the hub, like the one in my crawl space, maintain contact. The app clearly shows you the battery strength of every device and if one of your devices goes offline and again, it's easy to get it back online, so you can get ahead of both of these before it becomes an issue. The app also allows you to see historical data about the areas in which you have these placed, which is particularly helpful for temperature or humidity purposes. You will want to note that these devices are 2.4Gz, so make sure your router will allow you to pair these to that frequency. I have these hummidity/temperature sensors set up almost as remote thermostats in various areas around my house as I have some areas that are running much cooler/hotter and need the data to share with my HVAC guy to pinpoint where to best direct the fix. I highly recommend these for anyone wanting better insight into the ambient climate in their home.
