I've had this for a year now, mostly having used it in two different incubators. The screen is easy to read, and can be placed to be seen from outside the incubator (both the ones I used had windows). I also use it with the phone app that Govee provides. Positives: 1. It is really easy to use. Shove batteries in it, stick it where you want. Just read the screen when you like. 2. The app is also easy to use. Install it from your app store (I'm using an android) and follow the instructions to connect the Bluetooth. 3. The app provides history. Did that change increase the humidity as much I thought? Check the graph! 4. It loads well over the Bluetooth connection, and it is easy to verify proper operation of the incubator without going into the room. 5. Battery life is pretty good. I think I got 9 months out of the first set of generic alkaline batteries. Negatives: 1. The alerts for low and high temp are pretty much useless. I've never seen an alert pop up on my phone. I don't use a govee account, maybe that would make a difference? Maybe there's a setting I'm missing? ... show more

    • Easy to use and read, accurate RH, but spotty Bluetooth

I ordered one of these for my basement as it was seemingly super humid. Turns out my dehumidifier (which never really had an accurate hygrometer on it) had died and was just running a fan, not actually pulling water out of the air. That was helpful to learn using this device. I also went ahead and calibrated it using the salt in a plastic container technique. The meter noted 75%, as it should after about 12 hours, so that was nice. The Bluetooth connection, however, is a bit difficult to get to work consistently, even when standing right near the device with my phone and/or tablet. It works, but sometimes it says "no new data" despite there being no distance between devices and some time having passed. It eventually works, but might take a few refreshes before it loads the latest. Other times it loads right up. No idea why the difference. That said, I bought a second one for another location. I put both old and new side by side in my basement and the new one was about 3% off after over 12 hours, so I did have to adjust that one. Before I did, I double checked by doing the salt calibration test and the old one was still spot on and the new one was ~3% too low. The good news is, it's an easy fix in the app to adjust it to where it needs to be. Both seem to be working now in their respective locations and seem to give accurate readings (at least for RH--temperature seems pretty accurate too, but I've not really calibrated or tested as I don't really care about that). The form factor is small so it can slip easily where it needs to. The screen is large enough to be read on a glance. Battery life is TBD, but as long as it lasts a few months at least, I'll be happy. In short, it's a cheap and accurate enough device and though it may need some calibration out of the box, it's not difficult to setup. I do wish the Bluetooth was a bit more reliable, but as long as I can read the screen and trust the results, that's the most important part to me. If you're in need of constant remote monitoring, I'd go with a WiFi version instead. ... show more

Work well as described. Good quality digital thermometer and hygrometer. Big letters make it easy to read. Accurate when compared to my other thermometers and hygrometers. Bluetooth connectivity has been reliable. Bought two more sets to other rooms of the house. Recommended!

Does super job! Easy to read, good contrast on screen. Good size, easily read. Purchase three units. Two were in total agreement. The third is 1 degree off and one unit off on humidity. I can live with that. Placed one in a chick brooder, unit seems unaffected by chicks constant pecking at it for days. Have one in an incubator, doing great there and responds to humidity changes quickly. I add water to incubator and unit responds quickly. I will buy more without reservation if needed. ... show more
