  • Elevate Your Home Security with the GoveeLife Sensor
Imagine this: You walk into your cozy living room, and the lights gently brighten as if they’ve been expecting you. The GoveeLife Human Presence Sensor is the magic behind this seamless experience. Here’s why I’m genuinely impressed: Ultra-High Accuracy: This sensor isn’t just smart; it’s Sherlock-level smart. It combines radar and infrared technology to detect human movement and static presence with jaw-dropping precision. Whether you’re tiptoeing through the hallway or settling into your favorite reading nook, it’s got your back. Easy Integration: No tech headaches here. Connect the GoveeLife Presence Sensor to your Wi-Fi (it’s a friendly 2.4GHz connection) and watch it sync effortlessly with your smart home ecosystem. Alexa, Google Home—everyone’s invited to the automation party. Versatility: Picture this: You’re in the kitchen, hands full of groceries, and suddenly the lights come on. The sensor sensed you, even when you didn’t have a free hand to flip a switch. Plus, it’s not just for indoors—use it in the garage, the home office, or wherever you need that extra layer of awareness. Multi-Person Detection: Unlike those basic motion sensors that get flustered when more than one person moves around, the GoveeLife Sensor stays cool. It identifies multiple family members or colleagues, making it ideal for busy households or bustling offices. Sleek Design: It’s like the James Bond of sensors—compact, unobtrusive, and effortlessly stylish. Mount it discreetly on walls or place it strategically. Your guests won’t even know it’s there, but your smart home will thank you. In summary, the GoveeLife Human Presence Sensor isn’t just a gadget; it’s a silent guardian, a watchful companion. Elevate your home security game and embrace the future of automation. 🏠🔒 ... show more

  • This has worked like a champ
I have 2 of these, one in the laundry room to turn on lights when I am there, works fast and well. The other one I have set up in the kitchen to control two sets of lights based on distance, works great for that, always amazed when I leave the kitchen and go to the dining table the lights mover with me. Awesome easy to set up and works great. ... show more

  • Very bad range
I tried both ceiling and wall installations and both of them covered about a 5 ft x 5 ft area nothing more. It was fairly accurate and in that area but was not a extremely good purchase in my opinion as even sitting in a chair 5ft away it would sometime notice me and sometimes not. Decided to keep it to see if there's any upgrades to the software that might do anything better but for right now it only works in a small area not even a full size room. ... show more

  • So simple its great
So using aquara presence senor was a disaster. I wasnt expecting a whole lot with this but was I surprised. Just out the box with the right placement worked immediately. Govee home app is meh but adding it to IFTT then you can really do alot. That said this has revived my smart home motivation. Ordering 2 more for additional rooms and activities ... show more

  • Works pretty good.
My son started sleep walking so I put this in the livingroom for additional safety. I have it programmed to turn the light on in my room and to send me a notification. Turning on the light has been working flawlessly. But the notification to the phone is a 50:50 thing. Sometimes it send the notification instantly, sometimes a few minutes later. I also wish there was a way to have a stand alone speaker for a louder notification. The notification on the phone is less than desirable. So I mainly depend on the light Turning on to wake me up. I also use this to automatically turn the lights on on low at night so I don't have to switch on a light. The built in magnet is great! I have metal corner guards in the wall and I just put it on that. Installation was extremely easy. ... show more

  • The best presence sensor for Govee, period.
This sensor works PERFECTLY with the Govee app and ecosystem. I use it for my office, especially at night, to automatically turn on different lighting. What is great, is that I setup two different schedules. During one period of the night, it turns on multiple lights, but after a set period, it only turns on "background" lighting so I don't get blinded at night. Extremely accurate, and compliments all of the other Govee devices that I've installed. I'll be adding even more, they work extremely well. ... show more

  • Not very good at detecting still presence.
On the bright side, setup is simple enough and the power cord is long enough. The sensor itself is pretty small and has a good amount of articulation. But... Sometimes when I'm sitting at my desk (with minimal but detectable movement) my lights will turn off and I have to wave my hands around like an idiot to turn them back on. And when I'm in bed watching a movie or on my phone, the lights will turn off and I have to do the same thing. I've also found in the app that the target exclusion is horrible, like it'll suggest to ignore a range between 5 and 10 feet which is literally half of my room, so I suggest never using that and angling the sensor in a way that it doesn't detect the object you're trying to ignore (like angle it downwards if you want to ignore a ceiling fan). I accidentally threw away the box and I wish I didn't. I wasted $40 on this and will be looking for smarter, more accurate options. ... show more

  • 2.4G mmWave / PIR combo!
Awesome, easy to set up, and works well. If you know what this is, there’s not much to explain. If you don’t, this product might not be for you, but I’ll try to explain: it uses a combination of radar and motion sensing to detect if a person has entered and remained in an area, or if they just walked in, then turned around and left. For occupancy sensing, you benefit from having both; individually they each have their pitfalls. Is it perfect? No, the technology is still developing. This, however, is about as good as it gets in terms of room occupancy for home automation, unless you want to spend a ton of money. The mmWave sensor has limited range, and the 2.4G version isn’t the best if you want to mount it on the ceiling, but it remains powered via a USB-C plug which is great for me because I rent. Great price for a good product, and I’ll be grabbing a few more to place in different rooms. ... show more
